  • 1:50 old stamford bridge was legendary.

  • NO AL CALCIO MODERNO!!!

    Benevento.

  • AGAINST MODERN FOOTBALL!!!

    Greetings from Juventus.

  • teh reason why you wont find many stadiums with terrace's was because of the hillsborough disaster, after that they thought it would be a better to have all seater stadiums. you will find terraces in lower leauges because 1, they don't have such a big fan base, and 2 they don't have money to put the seats in.

  • Very sad indeed! My respects from Brazil.

Coritiba FC - COXA - Green Hell

  • Germany can manage it, they even allow alcohol in their grounds, and yet have little hooliganism... I don't know why but it seems that only the British can change their behaviour entirely and for the much worse on account of standing not sitting, and until that changes terraces can't come back... I dunno, it's like we have some kind of disease...

  • do you want to be stuck in the 80s? yes terraces were great but football has changed. our clubs aren't even english anymore, our teams are full of foreigners. our big clubs attract fans from all over europe who fly in for games. we have players on 200 grand a week and wall to wall live tv coverage. i'll go back to terraces if you give up your laptop, your mobile phone, your fancy car, your blackberry, your fancy hd tv's,your sky and your fancy clothes........thought not!

  • @in2u2b Total nonsense, there's absolutely no physical or idealogical correlation between standing at a football game and technology whatsoever.

  • @herrloop of course there is. you only have to look at the make up of crowds these days. gone are the working class gangs of lads/men stood together on packed terracing. now you have middle class twats, famillies and idiots with mobile phones and cameras wanting to take photos of the action instead of cheering the team on. the big clubs especially attract the tourist fans who spend hundreds of pounds in the club shopbar etc.these people come to games because it is now civilised and safe

  • Miss, Gay Meadow, Shrewsbury, Great Ground, And Good Pubs.

  • this has gone on long enough... its time to make one massive petition to bring back football terracing!

  • Selhurst Park made in 1920 hope we dont leave

  • No fans=no football.

  • *hold

  • forgotten times.hampden used to hole 100k

  • I'm just glad I had my days in the Shed, my son's won't get that chance. Football died years ago in my eyes.

  • Thank god in Argentina and Uruguay we still have terraces.. I feel for u english brothers, hope u can one day go back to what u once were

  • @diegomanya17 we still have them, just not in the premier league :'( that's why i love non-league football, 80% terraced at least mostly :)

  • here in belgium its all ANDERLECHT!! BRUGES !!! STANDARD LIEGE !! fucking glory seekers !! im a supporter of royal antwerp !! and we have the oldest crap stadium in belgium and im proud of it !! no modern non historical bullshit stadium for me !!

  • Sadly football will always mirror society-greed is good now apparently,so we will never see the return of the game we loved & grew up with, money is God now for owners & players.Fuck the lot of 'em...great video mate thanks

  • when you go to chelsea no one wants to sing they just sit there and look at you like your mad when you get up to sing and shout about the club you love,fu-king tourist fans hate them

  • When football was player only with passion and love, we ( Red Star Belgrade ) was European and World champion ! Thank god,we still have the best fans in the world ( Delije ) /watch?v=nfZRXeinYe4

But our football paid for that

  • Wanna stand up? Go support your local non league team instead of spending shit loads on that glorified premiershite crap.

  • @WelcomebackEm Amen, bro. FC United are heroes in my books, as are the likes of Accrington Stanley and perhaps the club most fucked over by the FA, AFC Wimbledon.

  • I remember being taken to OT for the first time when I was 6, and my Dad was warned by a steward after he was heard teaching me the words to a United song that happened to feature the word 'shit'. Even as a six year old, I looked at the steward as if he was the biggest twat to ever walk the face of the earth. Sky, Mass media coverage and Health & Safety have ruined football. Now I find myself surrounded by doss-eyed spastics who dont understand why I would want to stand up and sing. AMF!

  • @WelcomebackEm I would mate, but when your family has been supporting your team since the 19th century, its difficult to turn your back on them.

  • @TheMikeyReilly Understandable, part of the package of watching top level football is all seater stadiums im afraid

  • Rightfully so, RIP 96.

  • Most of Highbury is demolished now, we had years of history at the home of football, and the fans wanted to remain at Highbury, but that wasnt deemed good enough for the Arsenal money making machine...we lost our home and now have a corporate bowl, thanks...

  • They won't bring bk terraces b'coz everyone's afraid of upsetting the HFSG....No offence to them but they're objecting to it for no logical reason whatsoever.....just for the sake of it.

  • 1:37 thats all the home fans for wigan! :P

  • SAFETY COMES FIRST!!

  • @lfcJT07 I respect the idea that safety should be a priority, and it goes without saying that the Hillsborough disaster should always be remembered and taken into account, especially when discussing the return of safe standing terraces. But safe standing terraces have worked!! it has been tried and tested all over europe and it has brought back the amazing atmosphere that fans can create whilst standing side by side, chanting their team on!!

BRING SAFE STANDING TO ENGLAND, and save our game!

  • @lfcJT07 Safe standing areas are safe. That's why it's called safe standing.

Atmosphere should come before safety. If you want to feel safe, then fuck off to one of the stands at the side. The stands behind the goal shouldn't have a single seat on.

The famous Spion Kop at Anfield didn't become so famous by people sitting in silence. It should be a rough and ready experience, as well as a noisy experience.

  • @KopiteP250505 "Atmosphere should come before safety"

Clearly youve never lost anyone at Hillsborough you negligent cunt!

  • @lfcJT07 I did lose someone at Hillsborough. But people like you don't realise that we, the normal people are losing football. It's being stolen from us. My cousin who died at Hillsborough would hate the way football is now, he loved standing on the terraces. It was his life.

Our 96 brothers and sisters were murdered at Hillsborough. Standing/seating had nothing to do with it, all responsibility lies with South Yorkshire bizzies and Thatcher. Don't blame terraces, blame plod!

  • Comment removed

  • This isn't just football it's every part of our lives. Three more UK prisons going to private firms to make profit-per-prisoner. Banking corporations like Goldman Sachs crushing our Irish neighbours and the National Health Service up for grabs to the highest bidder. The last generation who worked hard all their lives freeze to death in their homes for fear of energy prices. Can't afford to drive to work due to petrol prices and got to shop at LIDL or ALDI because we can't afford proper food.

  • good video :)

  • what is the name of the song?

  • @slutter92 the beatles - in my life

  • NO ALLA TESSERA

  • Nicely done. Really compounds the fact that football used to be great, but is now utter shit.

  • real shame that the old 100k stadiums have disappeared.replaced with the likes of the emirates which is more quiet then a grave yard!

  • what ground is it at 1:57?

  • @pchaz88

    White Hart Lane.

  • Great stuff. Thanks.

  • Grêmio is building a new stadium, but it wont be ENTIRELY seater. There will be a terrace for the famous Geral Firm (not really a firm, in Brazil, its called a Torcida Organizada, or Organized Fans), so they can continue to do their famous avalanche.

    check it out

    NKL9zzq0uCE

  • 1:00-1:10 Spot the two dumbasses in the two pitcures. Easy game.

  • at 1:07 the kid gives the finger :D

  • @melgibsonfanclub ps: front row

  • Blue Square South <3

  • @k3nnard1 Blue Square North! Alty, Alty, the best team in the land and all the world!

  • Fans all over the world!

    AGAINST MODERN FOOTBAL

We will never become as you want us to be!

    PAOK 1926 - SALONICA FANATICS

  • Seems to me that the idea of terraces was stupid in the first place, seating allows for an assigned number of people to be allowed entry to the ballpark, stadium, etc. The british government in responsible for Hillsborough, you can't trust a huge mob like that not to crush itself to death and apparently no one saw it coming regardless of how many times it had happened elswhere, hooligans are interesting but soccer just keeps proving how lame it is over and over...

  • liverpool fans got british team chucked out of europe

liverpool fans ruined football in britain

I myself am glad to see the demise of liverpool football club

    Infact delighted

  • @nhorsey ignorant prick

  • @HamadaLFC8 Have you got anything that shows Liverpool (and scousers for that fact) have done anything positive for the game?

    Probably not

  • @nhorsey Anything positive that Liverpool and Scousers have done for the game? We introduced all the designer labels that the proper fans of all clubs now wear. Everyone else copied Liverpool fans for what clobber to go the match in. We started it! As well as that, providing one of and most probably the best comeback in the history of the sport. As well as turning a song into the greatest anthem in the history of mankind. And Liverpool's produced some great, great players over the years.

  • @nhorsey says a fuckin millwall fan, hilarious. 1885 millwall rioted at luton, leeds and birmingham rioted and then heysel. thatcher wanted football fans controlled anyway they could be.she wanted away fans banned and identity cards, this was after millwalls riot at luton. ,illwall the worst behaved fans in england. thatcher told uefa to ban all english clubs after heysel, she hated football. and how exactly did the european ban affect millwall? and now you have the new den, still full of mongs tho

  • to be honest you have to have respect for fulham their ground has hardly changed

  • @aggtheman Yer I think one of their stands is the oldest in the premier league

  • very sad and excellent song.

  • One good thing (the only I think) is that seats have stopped people getting their dicks out and pissing where they stood, I dont miss that, now they have to get up and use the bogs.

  • @dortyhoor I saw a documentary years ago that implicated pheromones in all that male urine for making men more aggressive in the terraces, leading to more fan violence. But everything I've read from you fans about the terraces describes them as a place of unity and togetherness, and not as a battleground. (I'm American, and I've never had the experience.) But was this sense of unity still there back in the days when fans of both sides were mixed in the terraces?

  • @dcs002 I used to stand behind the goal so it wasnt people pissing on those below, jut too lazy or excited by the game to use the toilets. As for violence, well l I went to QPR and (as every laughing clown will no doubt abusivly comment) we didnt really have any trouble at Loftus Road, I stood at the home end.

  • The Shed End was a proper stand. Football is dead without terraces.

  • Fuck modern football. Fight the repression and reclaim the game. NOW. Bring back the terraces. Fuck 'safe standing' - standing is safe anyway. A lot safer than fans trying to stand in seated areas. Liberti Per Gli Ultras. Against Modern Football. For Fans No Corporates. RECLAIM THE GAME

  • Played away at brentford today. They still have terraces which really ment alot to me hah.

  • The atmosphere has been killed throughout football - killed and never coming back, unless all this health and safety bullshit is gone.

Try standing up and singing for the team when some cunt in an orange jacket asks you to take your seat every 2 minutes and if you fail to oblige removed from the stadium.

    Goodbye atmopshere.

  • Thank you money for killing our beloved game, its not only happening in England, it's all over Europe, they are trying to make us like Americans

  • @demolisher123 The worse thing is its reversing this year American stadiums will be allowed terracing or something like that and a few are converting, if Germany, Ireland and America can do it its shameful we cant

  • @hattonaxeman A minor league baseball stadium near my home has an area in the outfield set aside for standing, sitting, picnicking, whatever. It's just open ground. I've never been there myself. (Tickets are inexpensive, but very hard to come by.)

  • standing is safe, ur alloud to jump up and down when u score but when u stand up u get told to sit down.

  • @iDuNdEexuK: Allthough I know that if you sit in the singing sections of your clubs's ground you can stand and the stewards don't even attempt to stop you due to shear numbers. For instance I was at the Arsenal-Barcelona game and I was in the Family Enclosure and I don't think I ever sat down unless it was half-time

  • The only way the FA and football in general will change is if people stop going!

  • Dont go to matches! Show that you dislike the way fans are being treated!

  • This is great,

    Football is a LOVE,

    NOT a business

  • i love the standing at the games. Luckily enough some grounds in scotland still have terracing and its great. Another reason it probably got removed because of football violence. Fans used to be able to walk into other ends and there would be riots. Its pathetic changing it to all seaters it makes the atmosphere die down.

  • Great point.Beatifull video.Great music.

  • RIP the shed end :(

  • why was the kop the last proper stand to have terrarcing if the scousers were the main reason for the fences and terrracing being rid of? nothing beat the stretford end in the 70s/80s now its a fukin joke

  • Terraces will be just one of many things that will eventually be stripped from the game in the coming years. It's very sad but I think we will be left with a group of 14-20 teams that are in a league with no relegation, owned by foreign billionaires for the most part, playing games attended by rich people who couldn't tell you the names of more than 2 of the players and have zero connection to the club, the sport, the players or the fans... they are just "consumers"

  • @KopOut8 Agreed there, Old Trafford pisses me off these days, I can name the entire starting 11 from the Champions League Final from 99, I'd love to see how many more of the 73,000 could do that. Most of them wouldn't even know where the Stretford End gets it's name from, or which end the Scoreboard End is. My connection to Manchester United is that I was born 5 miles from there. I'd love to know how many other 'fans' can say similar not many I bet.

  • @Mikeb1001

Nice to see there are still some proper Man Utd fans left. On holiday there was a bloke with the three trophies from the 99 treble tatood on his back. I spoke to the bloke and he came from Wolverhampton, born and bred. I just dont get it. I'm from Chesterfield so I support my local club. I couldn't support anyone else, I'd feel like a fraud. I wouldn't support Brazil in the world cup just because they play beautiful football. I support Enland beacause i'm English. Its baffling.

  • @spire1997 I get a sense of pride, knowing that when I say I'm from Manchester when I'm in another country talking to foreigners, people recognise the place because of Manchester United. A lot of people in Europe talk about United as being in the same elite group with Real Madrid, Barca, Juventus, the Milan teams. I just see it as my local football club, and I'd still go whether we were Champions League or Conference, fortunately I've never seen the dark days as I'm too young to remember them

  • Add Saltergate to the list of historic grounds this country has lost. Its the last game today, at the ground we have used for 130 years. I'm devastated. The FA hasn't got a clue what it means to the regular fan. Set of wankers. People have stood on the terraces at Saltergate for 130 years without 1 death or serious injury yet all of a sudden its unsafe and we have to move to a plastic soulless all seater legoland. Thanks for ruining our clubs heritage, like you've ruined dozens of others.

  • @spire1997

Just looked at that on the internet mate.....thats fucking disgusting. The name of the new one is unbelievably cringeworthy too, just like most new stadiums. It actually makes me sick to think whats happening and seeing it happen before my very eyes.

Like someone said, FOOTBALLS A LOVE AND A PASSION, NOT A BUSINESS. AND THE FANS COME FIRST, NOT LAST.

  • @CPFCmyles

I actually felt like a part of something at Saltergate. Part of my local club. At the new one I just feel like another punter. The sense of community isn't there.

Some fans are still creaming themselves over the concourses and the fact the pies are home made. I couldn't give a fuck. I want my terraces and my Saltergate back.

  • @spire1997

This is the problem though....so many people are disillusioned. The majority of fans will just accept it but some people cant. We are those people..because we know whats best for the club and we can see what might happen in the future.

Thats the problem - 'fans' are prepared to see 139 years of pride passion and history slip just because they like the new plastic blue seats and the fancy designwork thats been done on the stadium. Problem is we are the minority..

  • @spire1997 totaly agree. im a sheffield wednesday fan, but i went to Saltergate twice, and liked it so much more than having to sit down at hillsborogh

  • If we have to endure allseater stadiums it makes you think what is the point of going to a game. We might as well all sit at home in a string vest drinking cans of lager and eating crisps like Rab C Nesbit. Bring back Terracing!

  • I cant believe people say Terraces were good.People were killed in those terraces and people got sick. There was also more hoolaginism and voilence in the terraces which was just dangerous and not needed.96 People lost their lives at Hillsborough and it was because of Terraces. If the stadium had been a seater stadium, there would be no way that many people would have got in.Its arrogant to say that terraces are better.Think of all the people who lost their lives in the terraces and ther familes.

  • I'm a Liverpool fan, but our 96 brothers weren't killed in the Leppings Lane end because it was standing. they were killed because the Police ushered more and more in. the fact it was terrace or seating doesn't mean anything when there are fences and cages. standing at Football is perfectly safe when managed properly, Germany has proved that! all-seater stadiums should be made illegal! they have ripped the soul out of Football with high prices. Atmosphere is more important than safety.

  • @KopiteP250505 Okay, first of all I can agree with you when you say it wasn't the terraces fault and it was in fact the police that caused the horrific incident. Now I do not agree when you say All Seaters should be banned because they have ripped the soul out of the game, how can allowing people to sit down rip the soul out of a game? I do not understand that. If you mean crowds are very quiet these days, sometimes they are but even back then they were.Safety is most important not atmosphere.

  • because prices have gone up so much and stadium capacities have dropped so a lot of people miss out who deserve to go and some twats who have no right to be there get seats! Bring back terracing and anyone who isn't hardcore enough to handle it can fuck off to another stand with seats. it's not fair, the plassy cunts who want to sit down can, but what about us fanatics who want to stand together - we aren't even allowed a choice in the matter!

  • @KopiteP250505 I agree people who want to stand up are not given a choice but the sport just has to move on. Terraces are outdated and make the sport look bad on TV, that is why Snooker was bigger than Football in the 70s/80s.

  • it doesn't matter how it looks on tv. why do you give a shit about that?! if terraces were brought back, then more people would be able to go to the game instead of watching it on tele. i doubt snooker was ever bigger than Football in any context.

  • @alexnzx Who cares about what it looks like on TV. Give me a stand full of people stood shoulder to shoulder singing their hearts out for their team any day. The modern Stretford End looks great on TV with its double tier, exec boxes rows and rows of red seats with white ones which spell out Stretford End, fantastic looking cantilever roof supports. You know what looks even better, the swaying masses on the old Stretford End! The one that Law, Best and Charlton played in front of.

  • always hated terrances, I always felt scared when i was standing there.

  • hope they don't that in italy, they would get murdered. you englishman need to fight back and do something, if your passionate about getting back terraces dont go to the games many people will begin to do that as well. they tried in italy a while ago to make all seaters and then they couldnt be bothered because no one would listen.

  • @WBFC1995 They want us to stop going to games so we get replaced by richer people.

  • @sophieewohaa Well there isn't as many richer people than middle class or lower class which outnumbers upperclass, the numbers or attendances will go down along with all their lucrative tv deals.

  • atmospheres are shit now. those who want to sit and be quiet can. what about those who want to sing??? its a fuckin joke

  • song???

  • The Beatles - In my life

  • Well, if the Scousers actually had tickets, then all would have been well, typical Scousers trying to get something for nothing. Never here them moaning about justice for the 39. Terracing didn't cause Hillsborough, Scousers did

  • @KrisMarina27 policing and bad organizing was without a doubt the cause of the tragedy

  • It was part of it, no doubt. But not the major contributing factor IMO

  • Oh dear, ill informed and inaccurate nonsense.

You REALLY need to double check what you're typing before you type it!

Liverpool fans were delayed by traffic problems on the moterway, they were given the smaller stand even though they had a larger travelling contingent and the Taylor report stated that the fault was the police opening a gate to an area that was already full, without directing them to the much emptier corner stand.

I hope you are proud of yourself. 96 people died you idiot.

  • Idiot, that's rich coming from someone who can't spell motorway. Congratulations. Another self-righteous prick of a scouser who thinks the whole world should feel sorry for the 96 who died. Tell you who I feel sorry for. The 39 who died in Belgium you wall pushing cunt

  • u fuckin halfbreed.. heysel was accidental, we didn't mean to kill all those people.. plus the women and 10 year old kids that died at hillsbro weren't involved at heysel were they u thick fuck? so show some respect. i feel sorry for ur mum after she spawnwed u..TWAT

  • @KrisMarina27 scousers did ? yeah thats why, this disaster nearly happened 2 tottenham fans at the same ground..knobhead!!

  • @KrisMarina27 TWAT you need to read up on the disaster .

  • oh dear, maybe if you looked at the reasons hillsborough occured and why it cant happen in modern times you will notice it has nothing to do with the safety of terraces

  • I suggest you read both Taylor reports.

  • A great example of this is my team Leicester City now at the Walkers Stadium n u would av to x10 the noise level to get anywhere near the mad atmosphere that was at Filbert Street, its embarrasin.

  • You have a trumpet player, now thats embarrasing

  • @LUFCpickerzWACCOE75, no dickhead we av a drum n the players come out to the trumpets, I aint embaresed about that but I am bout the atmosphere, now fuck off u northern ponce.

  • and 2nd nice to see craven cottage on there but I would like to point out that the stand shown is exactly the same as in that picture, we have managed to keep the history of our ground alive

  • i agree that the bundeliga is the best run leaguie in the world, i'd still say prem and la liga top it for quality.

Atmospheres in england have been ruined by the success of football. All seater stadiums and posh johnny come lately fans who only go for a laugh and don't give a shit about the team are keeping real fans out of the game. Its a problem that is slowly resolving itself though, have found many grounds to be far more lenient in letting fans stand especially craven cottage recently.

  • England should look into how they do it in Germany. Big standing sections and amazing crowds and the highest attendances in Europe. The Bundesliga is becoming a really great league and they have still managed to maintain the soul of football. That is what modern football should be.

  • @ATMAIK Best league in the world IMO.

Great Crowds, Great Stadiums, Great Fans, Great Teams. And there are not 3-4 teams that dominate the league every year, its different teams each year, Fantastic league.

  • well said i myself am a tipperary fan its the best laugh ever tipp fans out singing cork in pairc i caomh loads of people drunk loads of flags nothing beats it pitty no one puts it on youtube

  • @CELTICWARRIOR09 Lad, you sound like a young fan, I am myself like, but look at "The Jungle" back in it's real days. As much as I hate the Celts, it was an amazing atmosphere. Both the huns and tims grounds have died, much like the rest of the SPL. Another disgraceful institution of modern football being formed there.

  • Me dan asco ingleses.

    Aguante ARGENTINA.

  • las malvinas son inglesas, que la chupen...........

  • Why isnt more being done to promote safe standing and terraces? Football is losing its soul. Its becoming all about money, the fans come last usually.

  • @sweeney1990 Money to put it simply, they can charge more for seats.

  • I remember the old Hill, before it was redeveloped, jammed with Kildare supporters in 1998. Good times. The new Hill has standing space for 13,000 supporters. Never any trouble, even when the dubs are on it. Every other GAA stadium has standing areas behinds the goals. Semple, The Gaelic Grounds, Pairc Ui Chaoimh etc.

  • @newbridgesm Yep, I was watching a football match (GAA) that was on a couple of weeks ago the same night as Ireland v Macedonia, I think it was in Limerick but both ends of the ground had huge standing sections I'd say at least 6,000 each end.

  • Cracking video mate

you cant blame the terraces of hillsborough for the deaths

it was the clubs for selling more tickets than the ground could hold

  • Brilliant video and spot on. All seaters have ripped the soul out of going to football in so many ways. After Hillsborough, it suited our FA and the police to point the finger of blame at terracing, where the truth of it was it was their incompetence that led to it.

Yes, the squalor of stadium's has gone but has been replaced with a soul-less atmosphere. It has just become sterile and quite frankly-boring. I could go on for hours.... Very sad.

  • just stand up then u whinges lmao

  • @Pr33mo You can't, thats the point.

  • Its our turn to re-locate to a souless all seater next season. I'm absolutely devasted. RIP Saltergate and our very own Spion Kop.

  • ooh cmon..you can still make them like the old days...have u seen o.a.k.a stadium..?its fuckin vast and its clear it cant be a football home..though we try give our best and make it our home..its not difficult u know...passion is what u guys in england need..

  • We have passion, just not in the way that most foreign clubs have, I personally admire what clubs in Italy do, Ultra's etc, but not the horrific violence that comes with it. Intimidation shouyld still be a big part, but not being stabbed in the back my a Roma fan, because you're English.

  • I see your point, I'm always suspicious of the nostaligia-heads, constant pining for the "old days" of football, but a lot of the old terraces were built like 100 years ago so they had fundemental design problems as well as clubs over-inflating their terrace capacity's to maximise their revenue, surely in this day in age though, clubs could build better standing room sections & police & manage the crowds on them more safely?.......

  • Totally agree with you, although the football in the past was much better, no nonsense, hard tackling game that we love has vanished, the safe standing zones will be a much better way to improve atmospheres that make football an enjoyable place to be!

  • this is because of liverpool fc

  • absolutey right dingbatcharlie1

  • @dingbatcharlie1 Liverpool Fc, as much as I hate them, cannot be blamed for that horrible day. It wasn't even at there ground!

  • if you want a ground with soul look at the old elland road, the tallest floodlights in europe- the big diamonds, the scratching shed, the gelderd end (Kop).

the lowfields (mental) altough it was a shitty crumbling stand but it was ours. it even had a mound of earth supporting it and after the games the leeds fans would stand on the top and charge down when SCUM (man u) came out of the gates.

    MOT

  • Oye. One advantage of playing in the U.S, in Texas, in a motherfin Highschool american football stadium, with American football lines on the pitch.

    Its not all seater. ;)

  • peterborough terraces aree the best.

  • what is the name of the song?

  • I think football will collapse similar to the real estate market. Then NFL and American crap will grow more and more popular among the Sky-box jerks, whilst the original fan base will have vanished long ago.

To be honest, the future of football lies in Asia and Eastern Europe. I think FIFA would make the right decision to let Russia host the World Cup 2018 and Indonesia do the same 2022.

  • WTF Football will just become a TV sport like the NFL with teams placed in the biggest "markets".

It's what the mone men want unfortunately.

NFL is more likely to collapse in america than football in Europe. NFL doesn't even have a base in Europe so I dunno where you "sky-box jerkls" comment comes in. The ratings are worse than tennis.

  • Im British and i know plenty of people who watch the NFL, especially at uni, but football wont die, not in our generation atleast, i love Blackburn Rovers and i will until the day i die

  • you know plenty of people? how scientific... trust on this TV kills proper sport!

  • what do you want? a specific number? their names? a list of adresses and their hair colour. TV can kill sports, but for smaller sports the revenue from television can be vital for their survival.

  • @chavmanx The NFL is the American game. No way will it collapse -- it is too ingrained in American Culture (from Pop Warner, high school, and College). The NFL is the most popular sport in America by a country mile!

  • football hasnt collapsed the point of the video is the soul has gone. Football grounds used to be a community gathering spots and loud places. now grounds still get alot of people but there is no atmosphere. Trust me the English love there football more than Americans love theres.

  • @ronaldszoon

Football will never collapse... Are you an idiot?

  • I think when you go and get a ticket for a game they should say " seating or standing " and if you say sitting your nearer the front but if you say standing your nearer the back and if you get hurt its your fault for going there. I stand at the back of the boothen end at stoke and it's a great atmosphere and many a time have i seen older men down the front standing up and turning around and shouting everyone to stand up it's quality. BRING BACK THE TERRACS

  • While most of you are arguing about sitting or standing I take a look at all the disasters in stadiums and only see too many people packed into one place. Sitting or standing wouldn't be an issue if there was enough room for everyone. Tempers flare for most people when they feel too enclosed in one place. I know I do anyway. Being in an over crowded place, elbow to elbow with some drunk assholes all around you bumping you every second while ur tryin to watch a game is enough to start a fight.

  • i support ayr united so i never go to the seating part of the ground i stay standing, singing songs from the faithful CMON AYR

  • i always try to stand up at matches but as i am a reading fc supporter there is only a minority of us so i would like to spread the messege to everyone that you should stand up at matches especially away games to make a better atmosphere.

  • at MUFC we always stand up at away games... homes shit though tbh lol...

  • im a sheff wed fan and even though hillsborough is now all seater we dont care we still stand up!

  • the tickets are called "part-pass" tickets for the Dallas Cowboys. Google it

  • you want to know something sad?

They even are starting terraces in american football stadiums

  • RIP PL

  • football is football think bout it really but it just the grounds wat hav changed really they still play the game we all love but wiv more money and that shit

  • Read the Lord Justice Taylor Report, ProDanAvfc.

  • I can't believe that you would say that in light of the evidence. See the next time you park your arse in a nice safe stadium - thank your lucky stars you weren't one of the kids crushed to death at Hillsborough as a result of poor police management at a time when the government were doing their level best to outlaw football all together. Seriously - go and do some research. The Liverpool supporters were the only ones who did anything to save lives that day. YOU ARE THE SCUMBAG.

  • Yeah rssmdb i fully agree with you there mate. Its so sad something like Hillsborough had to happen to make change but some people dont appreciate that i guess.
