  • @frase1234- that's not Wurlitzer (junk)!!! Srry but the only Organ in the world wen ya gonna be a STAR Is a HAMMOND B-3 an that's what one looks like(only drive shaft driven keyboard out there, ya start it almost like a car-turn on starter count to 8 turn On switch n let go of starte switch. Driveshaft keeps gears all going at same speed so never goes out of tune) An that sound is one of a kind

  • saw steve winwood at sirromet 2011..........brilliant !!!

  • wurlitzer is king

  • He is my favourite! I love organ and I love Steve Winwood!

  • Six people dislike this? I think they are in desperate need of some loving! :0)

  • Dude can still sing!

  • Justin Bieber can only dream of having a voice like Winwood, at 15.

  • oh what a voice!

  • Winwood was awesome as a 15 year boy......His voice was the magic that made the Spencer davis Band .......in 64/65/66 I went to every gig I could around their hometown of Birmingham. he never surpassed this early versatility for me ....but is still a genius.

  • this song is very very very awesome dope like it *.*

  • his other band mates had to pick him up to go to practice, too young to drive!

  • Saw him do this live not long ago! What a show he puts on! A grand master !

  • I am 64yrs. young! AHH ===the mid 60s we ran to see The Spencer Davis Group in the City (Manhattan) ONE OF THE BEST!!!

  • thank u flight of the phoenix for introducing me to this song :)

  • a great leader WINWOOD rock on

  • SW bn. 5-12-48

    GSL released Nov. '66

  • This is not so good Steve !... the singing ...

  • @tellarjj ...yeah ok whateva... this was taken on a camcorder, look at most recordings of major rock concerts taken on camcorder, on you tube, the singing always sounds poor.

The fact is Winwood is a fecking legend, the big daddy of blue eyed soul, and if you ever went to one of his concerts you would be awe struck. Clapton says this bloke is his hero. That says it all. Now back away from the Winwood.

  • @firefighterno1 You know Winwood is Big Star and i like him very much i still play meny songs from the Spencer Davis but there Steve is not so good, with Clapton concert in Paris Bercy- hall he is much better !...

  • There was a live video of this song on youtube in the early days and it's gone now. It was the greatest! What happened?

  • Nothing beats blue eyed soul. It's a beautiful thing when all races, colors and creeds can make beautiful music the world can enjoy. This is truly a blessing.

  • @fashiondread68

    Music is the answer:

    Give peace a chance!

  • All kinds of great rockers came from the '60s era. I know I was there.

  • great...

  • Could have sworn a black man sang this! Absolutely brilliant

  • @TheP8man Me too i sworn it was a black man!

  • Van, how about a year after the "November 20"? And do you know who the cats playing with him are?

  • THE MAN

  • 15? Jesus fucking christ!

  • @carioca56 wrong facts . He was 18 when this was originally recorded and released

  • Oh boy, I had the BIGGEST crush on this legend when I was 15. (John Barleycorn era) Oops.....after watching this.....I still do!

  • when was this recorded?

  • I believe 1966...check out the original video..Stevie was 16...fucking un believable. He's still doing some real justice here..

  • @3Rubee How could be be 16 in in 1966 !? He was born in 1948 so he was 16 in 1964 , He was 18 in May 1966.

  • @leonaofficial Leon 16 or 18 ? u hung up on the wrong chit brotha Hea teenager crashin a the big Hammond and writing hit tunes lemme see ...is he 16 18 20 hahaha

  • No mistaking that voice! and his beloved Hammond organ!!!!

  • @blackpudscoffer hell yeah the hammond is the shit wish i had one hahahah!

  • audio, bad

  • Sorry, Salchez68. My equipment is not professional. The recording was made in a theater and I was at least 50 mt. away from the stage, zoom at full optical extension.

Nevertheless, I'm pretty satisfied with the result.

  • ok Versa, you're on your way...peace

  • Oh my I'm in love with Steve Winwood. <3

  • what about me!!! ha!

  • You're not alone DowninMontegoBay Have to watch out for his wife, though

  • Holy crap this was 41 years after this song came out!

  • He was only 15 years old when he recorded this song with The Spencer Davis Group. Can you imagine how he must have felt to have the #1 song in the nation at that age! He handled that pressure a lot better than some of the other young artists.

  • He was actually 18, it was released in November 1966, when he was born May1948. Still nevertheless, it must have been a blast at that age too.

  • ... yes & can you believe at this performance little Stevie was only 60! lol But seriously doesn't everyone agree his voice just keeps getting richer, fuller, better with time! go Steve

  • he squeeks now n then, on hi note, but I dig 'im.

  • @reedds2000 He didnt record this when he was 15 . This song came out Nov 1966 when he was 18 and it got to #2 not #1. Youre probably confusing facts with his earlier Spencer Davies hits .

  • @reedds2000 he was 18 not 15

  • @reedds2000 Song released in Nov 66, Winwood was born in May 48. He was 18.

  • @reedds2000 They recorded this in 1967....... he was 19.

  • @reedds2000 you re wrong i think , Steve was born in 48 and this record was a big hit in 66 ,

  • He really does make this song work.

  • genius at work
