Sean McCarthy (1923-1990) balladeer, singer, poet, writer, broadcaster, and a Finuge, County Kerry, Ireland native, was a folk song writer. Born one of ten children, he penned some of Ireland's favourite ballads. Six years after Harry Hibbs' death in 1989, Marty Hibbs produced a CD titled Bell Island Boy, a special limited edition of 1000 CDs produced to raise money for the Harry Hibbs Memorial Park scheduled to open on Bell Island that year. It added 3 songs to 1982's A Musical Tour Of Ireland.
