Actually the American 180 will defeat body armor that much more powerful weapons can't get through. When you dump 20+ 22LR bullets on top of another they go through all kinds of things.

@SomeViolentKid heres the things... power doesnt mean much if you cant keep the gun on target, the almost non existent recoil of a .22 makes it perfect for use as a machine gun. you can keep that bad boy on target and pump a hundred rounds into em before they can squeeze of a shot. hell .22 pistols are the prefered weapon of the mafia because they dont make alot of noise and do the job just fine. look it up

I bet you anything that the American 180 would have made it into the U.S Military if the gun was chambered in a bigger caliber. The .22LR is a very small round compared to the M249 SAW LMG's 5.56 round.
