I really liked the peformances and the cast is ideal but the more I read and hear other people's views on the movie the less I like it. It seem as though it's preaching something. I'm also annoyed with the way the opening scene was made as a template of sorts, like judging the character. Yes it's not movie kiss kiss love love sex but if this is rough, you haven't seen rough.

I think the main message behind this movie is the tragedy of how people make plans to do something important and usually it takes 10 times as long to happen then goes horribly wrong or it just never happens.

This was an incredible movie, and I was so pissed off that it got robbed at the Oscars the year it came out. Only Sidney Lumet could direct a movie this tight in his eighties. The Academy should have at least given him some kind of lifetime achievement.
