  • WOOOW! Yeah...that makes sense, since the bass is usually mono & all the seperation is in the mids & highs, anyways! Sweet unit! Lucky YOU! :)

  • @seatboi The right speaker is actually the speaker on the front of the TV itself. The left oval speaker is in the upper left of the console. The 2 woofers are side by side. It is a really unique setup. The stereo separation is actually really good.

  • OHHH...DUUUUH! Nevermind...HERE's the innards! GORGEOUS SET!! I LOVE ur kitty-kat, too! RCA has thier Dog, Zenith has ur kitty! :) I see u got the rock-hard VM idler replaced. WHERE is the RIGHT speaker in this unit? just curious. I got PARTS & SERVICE LITERATURE for THIS exact set if u ever need em'!

  • whats the cats name?

  • beautiful.. never had one like that

  • I like these kinds of consoles

  • Very very nice TVs! I hope you can have the TVs successfully working, they're very nice! It is odd to have the 2 woofers put aside to one place with the TV speaker for the right.

  • That turntable works good...often times I have seen them gummed up. seems like you didn't find AM 1320 WJAS on that dial scan, that is a station I always liked to listen to which plays music.

  • BSRs are the worst!

  • Those are very nice, glad you found them. Both are amazing to find and they look like there just off the showroom floor. I also want to watch The Jetsons.

  • How I'd love to find a vintage Zenith stereo console, Steppenwolf sounds just FANTASTIC coming from that beauty! Congrats!

  • Nice Rig, ive seen units like this but it was just a TV and a radio and the TV was in the middle. 2:54 you got that right it does sound amazing.

  • I remember parting out a 1978 Philco Stereo/TV console back in the day. One of the former maintence guys found it in an empty apartment and tried it out. He said the stereo portion worked, but the TV didn

    t. It was a solid state set with a turntable, AM/FM receiver, and 8-track player. I took all 5 speakers out of it and the tt, but the tt was usless so I threw it back out. After I was done with it, me and a bunch of kids busted it up. I would've kicked myself in the ass if I did that today.

  • lol I bet, I would at least try to fix/restore it and if not fixable the cabinet looks good furniture wise, my motorola TT is like that. if the amp in ther stereo still worked then you can use it as a radio and the radio didnt work it would make an unusual ipod speaker.

  • OMG, that is a weird setup. I never saw a stereo/TV console with one of channels coming out of the TV speaker. I the Magnavox stereo/TV console uses side-firing speaker for both the TV and stereo. The tt is going to have amazing sound once you replace the needle.

  • Wowza!!! Spectacular score with that Console! My Zenith has a similar turntable that probably uses the same stylus.

  • Your Zenith has a BSR changer. This one has a VM type, Yep, they're very similiar.

  • I can tell that the tonearm is exactly the same as the one on my portable zenith but the turntable itself is totally different.
