I dont know what science your talking about but theres no conclusive evidence that shows that sexual relations are only limited to partners of the opposite sex. talking about biology several advanced animals (especially primates) have homosexual and bisexual sex.
Modern Psychological research has shown that most people with homosexual desire are more or less born with it and no environmental or social factor causes it.please dont use religon as logic its just your belief and is not a fact.
