  • Angry Birds Halloween Edition is cool!

  • The orginal and the seasons edition is free on android, so the developers aren't being giant asses but Apple is.

  • i hate this game..it sucks fucking ass.i feel like evry single level is the same and it sucks..i still play andry birds 1

  • @xxsandrayxx it is now angry birds seasons, they will be updating it frequently

  • It ridiculous how greedy developers are nowadays this should of been a free update for the game but Noooooooo -.-

  • Where do I nominate AppSpy.com for best app store reviewer? All of the stuff you put out is top notch.

  • @TheSilverGekko Sign up to our FB or Twitter, check out the site and pimp it to your friends ;) Once we've got advertising and other things sorted we'll start looking at nominations for stuff (though do feel free to nominate us for awards anyway! :D ).

  • i made a review to :)

  • Both me and my brothers own both versions of this game and even tho this new one was only a change of backgrounds etc its still fun to play with like the rest :) i just wish just like the other people that instead of lunching 2 different applications they would just make one with the option to purchase the extra packages, like for holydays, summer, xmas, halloween etc.

  • This is actually the first time I will buy an app that App Spy didn't give a positive review to.

  • @kaflunker I wouldn't say it's not positive, just a poor choice for those who don't have Angry Birds already :)

  • It'd be really cool if this was a "holiday" edition, where every major holiday like thanksgiving or christmas, they updated it :)

Angry birds is already strong enough on it's own, Rovio wants some independence I assume, they don't need chillingo anymore. Besides, now that it's been purchased by EA, Rovio is flexing a bit of it's muscles xD

  • It's separate because Rovio doesn't want to go through Chillingo anymore when they could rake in all the cash themselves. The CEO states this in Reuters news.

  • Levels don't look all that different either. It's like robot unicorn attack metal only without the awesome track.

  • Angry Birds is overrated and the same thing over and over. It's just not that fun.

  • the reason it was separate is becuase electronic arts bought chillingo/clickgamer(they are the same) and rovio had already purchased the licesence to produce the halloween version before ea bought chillingo/clickgamer, hints why the game is released under the title rovio instead of chillingo

  • @CrazyFinnishKid I wasn't aware of Rovio purchasing a separate licence to create a separate game - but even if this is the case it's still just a level pack with a re-skin and new customers are better off getting the original. It's not entirely terrible as a business plan - many people bought the original already - but adding something unique to the gameplay or design would capture both markets instead of just the one.

  • @AppSpy well rovio and chillingo had already had the plan to make the halloween version back in september, and it was supposed to be released under the name "chillingo", but since EA bought chillingo after rovio and chillingo already agreed, and EA wouldn't allow chillingo release that game so rovio had to release the game under their name. i think chillingo still gets the money for the game though. btw this is from what i have read. it might not all be right

  • @CrazyFinnishKid eelctronic arts bought chillingo btu did not purchase rovio

  • Well, considering if it was an in-app purchase, it would have been the same price anyway, I don't see a big deal. Although I do agree, paying the same price for essentially the same game with less levels is a bit odd. But, it's still a good game, and it does get harder quicker..

  • @txfnero But that's sort of my point - it would have cost the same, so why the separate application? As it is by now most people have a slew of icons to deal with and Apple's folder implementation is absolutely terrible (Infinifolders is by far a better solution). Also it keeps things in one place and from a marketing standpoint they're splitting their money - if you had a choice between 195 and 45 levels, which would you choose?

  • I think paying for this one is fine. They updated the original many times with loads of free levels so paying another 59p for this one is nothing really. They deserve it.

  • Great review

  • free??

  • @lukking2 no

  • You're quite good at the game!

  • @TheKashMachine10 I'm really not :) The magic of editing makes me look better at this game than I really am - I honestly never 'got in to' Angry Birds but I know a lot of people go nuts for it ;)

  • @AppSpy How didn't you 'get in to' it? Maybe i'm overly crazy about it. By the way, you guys are great, your reviews got me buying great apps such as Aerox, Samurai 2, Game Dev Story, Sir Lovalot etc etc

  • Thumbs up for AppSpy!

  • @RoyalsChamp5 I decide to thumbs up the video to thumbs up AppSpy, not just because you're a thumb whore.
