  • If it was a Democrat who said this about a Republican, TYT wouldn't have said a word about it.

  • @G19PX4 Are you kidding? They bash everyone!

  • @G19PX4 Yes they would have. They speak out against Democrats and progressives all the time. The thing is, it is pretty rare to hear a Democrat or progressive talk like this on record. Republicans and conservatives do it CONSTANTLY! Second Amendment solutions here in Nevada, God's covenant signed in blood, the republic is crumbling, death panels, armed and dangerous, armed revolution, the tree of liberty, and so on. All conservative talking points. Every one of them.

    Facts are stubborn things.

  • No.

  • Atlas shrugs.

  • Voters voices must be shouted!! Do you back Obama's Health care bill?? Go over to my utube channel to see exactly why your voices counts !

  • I am on the side of the spectators. I dont get involved in politics much, just watch things play out. I sometimes get involved, but only in the voting booth.

  • its funny, as an employee at home depot, we were told we can not show support for any candidate while on the floor and on the clock, yet on internal memos, we were pressured to vote for legislators that would be good for the company, not who we thought we should vote for. And fuck republicans and democrats until they both recognize and uphold the constitution, or whats the point.

  • anyone who watches this should be shot. They should be thrown out of their damn jobs. What is this crap? Is it out of someone's basement? I'm waiting for some old lady to shout "Johnny, your hotpockets are ready... com upstairs and eat!"

  • fuck you cenk rocks. even though i disagree with him. he's far more successful than you are, and well on his way to being on msnbc.

  • I work on a construction site and i try to explain this very topic to the guys around scraping together a living b ut still voting republican. Republicans are not the poor mans friend. a lot of people support them "just in case" they strike it rich. Ignorance Abounds.

  • mad much, when we're still here?

  • i work for the home depot and i have to say this company has gone to shit. i have to continue working because i dont have a choice, there are no jobs around where i live. i hate it, i agree what customers have to complain about but they should consider themselves lucky that they dont work for the company. the workers are viewed as crap while managers and the powers that be are becoming more and more greedy. not a place for the working man.

  • We used to have 3 good lumberyards in my hometown till Home Depot came along, now we only have one... Kinda like Wal-Mart and all the other major retailers are doing- come into town, drive all the local Mom & Pop stores out of business; and when they don't generate enough profit, they bail out. I don't have a lot of money, but wherever possible, I shop locally- I'd rather pay an extra 10-20% to help my local economy. Corporate greed will be a big part of our country's downfall...

  • well,he sounds like a good guy but I don't like how every home depot store is an illegal alien hiring center. Those illegals,in CA anyway, are putting tremendous pressure on american citizen workers.

  • By the way; do you really think the American consumer is going to buy all this shit from China when they don't have a job....lol.

You send the jobs to China and India, you lay off millions because of it, and now you want a pity party, and our loyalty because you are in trouble. FUCK YOU!

It has come back to bite Corporate America right in the ass hasn't it?

  • Anyone who is not out of Corporate America by the time they are 32, and in business for themselves (I dont' give a fuck if you open a flower shop) you are a god damn idiot.

After witnessing what you are witnessing do you really think Corporate America gives a shit about you?

Do you really think that by paying the Chinese a $1.50 an hour that they are passing the savings on to the American consumer?

If it will put America to work then charge me another $150.00 for a big screen TV.

  • I'm sick or corporate control of my country and corporate crime. I decided it IS time to find a new hardware store. So today, at my request, my husband walked out of Home Depot and drove to an independent lumber yard. Feels good to support a local independent business, too. Try it; you may like it!!

  • your a douch. u wana spend more money ? lol retard home depot is a very good store and they take care of their ppl

  • Its run by incompetent teenagers who don't know what PVC is. Go to a local lumberyard.

  • good thing i work there and i would know we are a fine company. at least to our customers

  • such a shit company. workers are treated like garbage.

  • Its arrogant fools like you that i just blow off :)

fuck you, go to your lumber yard.

  • Really???? Well now, it maybe time to look for another hardware store...

  • lol...REPUBLICANS ARE SO ANGRY

  • Everyday I watch this Young Turks .......and everyday I am surprised at the work these people put to do this, THANK YOU YOUNG TURKS !!!! CNN IS SHIT COMPARED TO THIS !!! I will not go back to Home Depot for nothing ...

  • He hasn't been the ceo for 9 years, calm down.

  • As an 11 year employee of Home Depot I saw what they do from the inside: supervisors are bullied into making the terrible raises they give appear as though its the employees fault. As though the worker didnt do this or that correctly. Then they turn around and expect those same supervisors to "spy" on their employees to make sure they arent trying to form a union...bye bye GOP. The only ppl who should be shot are the CEO's.

  • After what the UAW did to the big 3 who in their right mind would want to unionize?

Go ahead unionize an make the CEOs do things like give artificially inflated wages and benefits that go on forever

Who suffers? The consumer because they have to pay the prices that will go up to support your pay and benefits Think they will keep buying from you? Guess again there are still plenty of mom and pop hardware stores around

Go ahead and unionize youre only killing yourself

  • Yeah curtnoel9 your right. Alot of people that work at my store only get 10 to 20 cent raises every year. Add this to this bullshit "power hour" and having to bend over backwards for the customer and it becomes a pretty shitty deal. But as everyone at my store justifies their crap raise, "at least we still have a job".

  • Go ahead Unionize I dare you then after that then what? Count on the "piss ons" to pay your ridiculous wages by buying from home depot?

LOL! lots of luck on that! Ill buy from a mom nd pop hardware store before union scum

  • Hopefully, this current housing bubble burst will put an end to this corporate megastore and we can return to the Mom and Pop hardware stores of the past. (Honestly, I wish as a Democrat that that our President was a lot more pro small business.) Next up stop buying goods made in China and maybe we can get rid of Wal-Mart too.

  • Oh great. . . I am getting ready to build a garage and now I will make my purchases from Lowes!

  • Any retailer that supports this movement does deserve to be shot. This bill that Obama supports is going to cost retailers millions of dollars to try and stop unions from entering their stores.

  • Maybe the retailers should work with the unions instead. The CEO's are able to pay themselves whatever obscene salary they wish whether the company posts a profit or not. The little guy has no one negotiating his pay unless he jions a union.

The big three automakers, eagerly seeking government WELFARE, are shutting down jobs here while opening new plants in Mexico where the workers are paid $3 an hour. Yet the CEO's are still amking tens of millions of dollars.

  • "are shutting down jobs here while opening new plants in Mexico"

    Good

Union scum Thats what you get or demanding (and getting) artificially inflated wages and benefits that last forever

BTW I hear that the CEO for GM was going to work for free because of the crisis

Good riddance Big 3 Failure doesnt deserve to be rewarded

  • why do wingnuts always focus on the wages of working people wages (providing for their families!) and never on the enormous, ridiculously large wages of the CEO's and other corporate executives, whose compensation is far out of sinc from those of other developed countries? Perhaps, if those executives pay were more in line with that of Germany & Japan, the big three would be more profitable.

  • Why shouldnt I focus on the ridiculously large wages paid to union members? There are truck drivers who earn $19 per hour driving a tractor trailer and union drivers that make $25 per hour driving a straight truck just because they had a friend in a union

Last heard the GM execs (or at least the CEO) was going to work for free and the UAW would get back to them in a few years and consider taking a pay cut

    Arrogant union scum

  • $25 per hour driving a straight truck<<<

That's just about living wage in my area

  • idiot!!!

  • Yeah

Im an iiot and when ever Obama opensup his socialist mouth the market tanks

LOL! Well see who the idiot is! LOL!

  • Im very liberal and pro union, but even I agree automaker unions are ridiculous.Unions are for making sure people get paid fair wages, not $70 for bolting shit together.

  • Union members do not make $70 an hour. That is an outright LIE being pushed by Republidolts. That figure includes all the benefits to retirees. Notice they never add in the enormous amounts paid to the top executives (who apparently are more interested in their golf scores than creating great autos). Also note that our autos compete with Germany & Japan, who pay high wages & for whom health care is provided by the government!

  • From now on, Lowes will get ALL of my business. It's a better store anyway.

  • bernie marcus is right...the unions are destroying america. look at gm, ford, chrysler...thank God unions haven't taken over retail, or they'd be destroyed, too.

  • care to substantiate that claim?

  • dude, my post substantiated itself...just look at the state of gm, ford and chrysler...all bogged down with bloated union contracts to the point of being unable to make a profit. Contrast them with Toyota...making Tundras right here in the USA in San Antonio, and you can see why unions are destroying America - they are demanding wages not supported by the market. Detroit auto workers earn something like 75-80 bucks an hour and they continue to make crap cars, compared to the Japanese.

  • Primarily, it seems like the US manufacturers are suffering because they failed to anticipate the direction of the market and have wasted too much time producing SUVs, while leaving the compact and hybrid market to the Japanese. Wealth = capital + labor + creativity. The US auto manufacturers lost their competitive edge in the 1930's when they abandoned Buckminster Fuller's dymaxion car, which is only now being re-engineered as the "Aptera 2e" (300mpg).

  • even if the us automakers were poised to turn on a dime and shift from SUV's to hybrids overnight, they still would have been hamstrung by overpaid union workers who make crappy products.

if american car manufacturers want to survive they are are going to need to embrace free market labor and pay workers what the job is worth, not what union demands.

by the way, the aptera 2e is a joke - no one is going to buy a car with a 40 mile range.

  • It should also be noted that the top 32 toyota execs make a total of 20 million dollars combined. The US CEO's salaries... well you can guess.

  • lowes from now on

  • Home Depot sucks just like Best Buy and Walmart. You get shit service from all three of them. People rather save a little then support their local store such as a Ace Hardware. And you wonder why we import all our shit from China.

  • Looks like I will be going to Lowe's from now on.

  • the colorful language of a dying breed, or at least a really injured breed.

  • So how come we ended up with a surplus in our economy after Clinton's administration, when Reagan, H.W. Bush, and W. Bush all left us in a deficit?

  • can you say "tech bubble?" as soon as the tech bubble burst, so did the clinton economy.

  • LMAO!!!

  • Oh really? Is that why every time a republican has office since Eisenhower, immediately we go into recession. The republican party has failed so miserably it ought to be the very definition of miserable failure

  • Any Democrat who supports HD ought to shop - elsewhere.

  • Time to BOYCOTT Home Depot.

Do other retailers feel the same about Repubs? Yes.

Did they get caught on tape? Not yet.

  • HA! There is a new Home Depot that just opened in my town fairly recently. They aren't doing as well as expected. There are two long standing smaller hardware stores within a few blocks, one independant, another a franchise(I think). Both are STILL in business. I prefer HD's hours, though. I will say that much.

  • Home Depot is responsible for some of the worst moments of my life.

  • Home Depot were the ones capitalizing on the Bush-inflated housing bubble of the last 7 years. All the flippers refurbishing houses went to - guess where - Home Depot. Home Depot is not a company of the rich, they are a company of the dumbass, overleveraged home flipper, and now that the bubble has popped, they (HD) are in for hard times. Time for Mr. Marcus to find better market than a bunch of zero-net worth "home investors" and stop pissing and whining like a little kid.

  • @zorath1970 hard times huh...they are giving bonuses and breaking record sales.....hard times....oh they are hiring too....

  • @zorath1970 2 years gone got frank blake now hes awsome

  • The republicans have not been responsible for a sound economy since Eisenhower. Trickle down from the CEO's and military complex doesn't work. I think that Bernie Marcus will be learning that when people who aren't CEO's don't have money they don't go shopping, especially at Home Depot

  • Actually this guy is just looking out for his best interests. Its in his best interest that Republicans are in power so all the tax benefits flow to people like him. For 95% of us the tax benefits of the Democrats flow to us.

  • Didn't you get a tax cut under the Bush administration.

  • No I didn't

  • is this really a surprise to anyone? GOP being the party of the rich is a decades-old concept, did this CEO just get the memo?

  • It seems like Im going to LOWES from now on, bye Home Depot, you just lost more customers. ASSHOLES!!!

  • I used to work at HD Supply, a behind-the-scenes branch of Home Depot. They have a great track record of CEOs. They managed to give away Bob Nardelli to Chrysler, thankfully.

  • Robber Barons are the relic.

Worked union, and it's the only way.

    Organize!

  • WOW..You people really are STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!

The so called "free choice act" if past will allow UNIONS to view secret ballots, and find out how each employee voted!!!!

Now of amy of you idiots ever worked in a union environment, you would understand why workers would be concerned with that. If you don't do what the union boys tell you too....then you better be careful walking to your car!

Worked for a big union, and NEVER again!

Unions are a relic of the industrial age.

  • Oneamwahk your a fool bro that shit had me dying lol. On the real I'm down here at fort camplbell Ky/Tn, man there's a about 5 walmarts in Clarksville. Men I do miss the NYC 2 guns up...I got About 10 months before I ETS my ass to college....

  • So this is what the Home Depot CEO thinks..Well, I will start shopping in loews for now on. You lost yourself some customers, you idiot...Nice going..

  • Home Depot is fucked anyway. Ever since Lowes moved into this area the Home Depot (right next door) is empty, empty, EMPTY.

The employees at Depot are always rude little shits anyway so I was happy when Lowes came into town. Screw Home Depot, and screw the Republicans.

  • read the book

The Politics of the Rich and The Poor in America By Lee Atwater- former RNC Chairman

"Republicans represent the elite, wealthy, and business class...we use social issues as a wedge"

  • We should shoot all the greedy assholes both Republican and Democratic that helped our manufacturing base get outsourced to China and other foreign nations, just so they could get a higher margin, at the expense of hard working Americans. Then we should throw all their sorry ass relatives out of this goddam country, the greedy lecherous, treasonous, assholes. I hope they all burn in hell, this Home Depot jackass included.

  • What a shock republicans are for the rich . Tell me something I didn't know before that's why I don't shop at walmart and other places...

  • Yeah i avoid both generally. But the two biggest stores around here are Walmart and Home Depot and they are right next to each other, lol. Fukkin huge stores.

BTW, D-Block, 2 guns up... Sorry couldn't resist. lol

  • FYI Obama isnt even president sir. He is president elect. So stop blaming him for shit thats happening now instead of focusing on whats actualy a PRESIDENT BUSH thing. Obama's main worry is about the auto worker not the company itself let alone the CEOs. I am not for the auto bailout myself I wasnt for the bank bail out either but again hence my vote for Obama who wants them to be held accountable for every tax dollar they want as per the last bailout that was nothing more than a blank check.

  • first

  • I don't go to home depot bc they never have anything, i like lowes personally. But honestly, even though the way he said it, isn't it similar to cenk always saying "omg, if your stupid enough to vote republican, you just got get it and shouldn't be voting"...lol each to his own i guess LOWES FOR THE WIN!!!!!!hehe

  • 1.5 is a bush administration republican legacey is what we got. And lets not bring up fannie & freddie since we all know Phill Gramm Is the actual person who is really to blame on that fiasco. You wanted a solved problem instead of giving that 700 bil to rich bankers cut a check for everyone in the US thats over 18 it would have been about 150k each would have fixed it. To your question timmy Not as much as McCain did... or his buddy Rick Davis.

  • I thought democrats were party of the rich since they want to hand over trillions to AIG and all. How much money did Obama get from Freddie and Fannie Mae?

  • Trillions? lol, a little less than that I think. If I remember correctly though, George Bush introduced the bailout bill to congress in the amount of 20 billion, and as usual the Democrats folded for him.

  • You did not remember correctly. He did not introduce that bill. That was started by Paulson and it trickled into the democrats who had to save the economy so they can get Obama elected. Just look at the pole numbers before and after the "bailout" and you can see which canidate benefited from the "bailout". Now we find out the money isn't going to be used for homeowners but for the banks to spend as free cash.

  • Good for you TexD let us not support those who dont truely support us. We need to keep this change going not just for us but for our children & future generations. It has come the time for change is here like Obama said it wont come easy alot of work ahead but its time for all of us to unite roll up our sleeves & begin. I am very proud of us as a country always knew it was in us never lost hope or faith & in our worst comes the unsung heros mothers, fathers, children who fight for whats right.

  • 1.5 trillion dollar deficit! Was that the change you wanted?

  • I'm going to start voting Republican once I get rich

  • I am glad to see since these elections many americans comming out and fighting against the CEO's & big government. Remember its the average worker like you that makes these companies florish if it wasnt for the janitor the cashier the stocker the customer rep. these businesses would not exist. It's you who makes the world go round, the underpaid overworked average american. Keep making sure you are aware of your political stance in your communities. We can change our country for the better.

  • lol home depot is losing tons of money. Lowes and OSH are raping them.

  • good then duckmanx88 mate lets hope the sods go skint fast!(mind you i expect they will go crawling to the us goverment and ask for a handout)

  • Guess I will be shopping elsewhere, and that's a hit on Home Depot because, I'm a contractor. I guess a $100,000 key a year in materials is not all that important to Home Depot. So long asshat.

  • I need to rob me a nice CEO... LOL

  • That is the exact reason people feel that some Repugs have no soul!

  • Anyone surprised by this at all? What do you think the executives of Walmart, Home Depot, whatever other mega store, they care about their employees? They care about you? Seriously? Then you should really stop watching so many commercials, clearly you've been brainwashed.

  • The ultra-over-compensated CEOs of this world and their boards of directors, are stealing from the customers, the workers AND THE STOCKHOLDERS of their corporations. Feel free to buy into being any of these... or not.

Look into U.S. savings bonds, treasuries and state and municipal bonds. Many of them are tax-free or at least tax-advantaged. Look into the pay rates of their workers and managers... the government is becoming WAY transparent that way because of the internet.

    China did.

  • FUCK HOME DEPOT. Hello, Lowe's!!!

  • Run their asses out of business.

    Spread the word and Boycott!

So much for buying my stepfather that power sprayer! I think ill go somewhere else.

  • if democrats truly support american workers then they had best do something about all the jobs being sent out of this country by corporations and they must also fix the illegals issus. both are killing the ameirican middle class...

  • they wont, nobody will,

    bye bye middle class

  • I will no longer support Home Depot and I will share this info with all of my friends and co-workers.

  • I'm gonna buy a few tools from my small town hardware store, so I'll be right back.

  • that's interesting...reallllllllly?? I guess won't be buying the tools and new-BBQ/grill from Home Depot I was planning on getting my husband for Christmas.

Thanks for the info. I will pass that tidbit of info on.

I spend thousands there every year..hmm no more. His GOP supporters can spend their money there..I won't be.

  • Fuck you Home Depot ... I'll buy someplace else.

  • I'd like to also now, but they have a monopoly on the market here.

  • BOYCOTT

  • hes just mad, cuz lowe's is sticking a proverbial 2X4 up his ass........which in this day in age doesnt matter, when home depot goes bankrupt, he'll get a buyout then take the money and retire off of millions

  • love u cenk and all the crew ^ ^

  • SHOP @ LOWE'S

  • Shop @ your locally owned Hardware store.

  • Is there a locally owned anything anymore?

  • yup that's exactly what we should all do.

  • wow if obama supporters r shot US population would reduce by half lol

  • More than half. If count the people that can't vote because they are too young, I say about 3/4th of Americans said F-U to McSame.

  • Hell, if you add the international community as well, we wouldn't ever have to worry about overpopulation for centuries.

  • true most countries would be devastated/annihilated coz the vast majority supports obama

  • yes, worrying about slavery would be top priority in that scenario.

  • lmao i work at home depot

  • Boycott Bernie Marcus and his interests.

  • our economy is strongest when the consumer has the cash flow to spend here.

we aren't the one's that send our $/jobs abroad!

greedy, large corporations like walmart & home depot are all about profit margins. so by killing the competition, we're forced to spend on lower quality imported items. what does that do to our domestic product? it kills competition to the point to where we can't even get some things that are produced here.

they killed their customer base by cutting us out of the loop.

  • Can you imagine if Wal-Mart unionized?

  • Some of the stores are unionized in Canada. None in the US at all?

  • You can be fired for talking about it in amurrican wal marts.

  • None that i've seen, they're very anti-union which is one of the reasons I don't shop there.

I think that would be a more realistic stimulus plan for America, to have to have the nation's largest employer start paying livable wages. Wal-Mart profits over 20 BILLION annually, and they're telling us they can't afford to unionize? Bunch of greedy bastards.

  • See Klavier it's not they cant affort to unionize its that uninons hold the best interest of the worker and not the company. A union will help fight for your rights so they use the cant afford it tactic. I would start one anyways eventualy they cant do what they want but do what is required of them. Wal-Mart cannot function without its workers and if the workers dont go to work they dont make money and if they dont make money no profits so who really has them by the cojonies? ;)

  • Damn straight, pardner! There should be some kind of tax penalty for businesses that use anti-labor practices to muscle out businesses who try to play fair. Instead, we have municipalities building infrastructure for these monsters and giving them tax exempt status to take advantage of desperate locals who will settle for any job.

  • So true.

  • Bernie Marcus that summamabitch!!!!Rethugligan

  • He got it wrong, all CEOs should be shot; I have yet to meet one in my life who has a soul.

  • Yeah, when Cenk said I'm sure he doesn't really want them shot, I was thinking, you really have no idea what these guys are like.

  • Neat i'm first:D! (Never been first on anything =O) But back to this video. That guy must be on crack! Y should workers put money to politicians when they have familes, bills, and health care to pay for? That's kind of scary if even the CEO's of companies are being greedy. I mean they can easily just close there branch stores without even thinking about the THOUSANDS of workers they fire. To think most of all this is for money:(. I mean it's JUST GREEN PAPER DX!

  • lol. This must be so crushing for you. The streak of not being first continues. LOL.

And it isn't just "green paper" it's power. CEOs or oreos, lol, don't want to live a worker's life. They are all greedy as hell. Gotta be insane to be a CEOs is on YOUR side.

  • CHA I KNOW RIGHT XD! But someday i'll be first to comment XD!

  • Had not you been talking too long, you would be first, but I'm sorry my friend. You are not. keep on dreaming! j/k

  • Yeah, i didn't realize i was second till i saw the comment i was like AW MAN DX! XD!!

  • of course the CEOs are greedy, they have an expensive lifestyle to finance.
