  • Looks soooooo good.

  • That looks quite nice. Assume you can add any vegetables in with the sauce. Gonna give it a try, thanks!

  • @jimbob7070 Yes, you can add all your favorite vegetables. Grated carrot and celery would be awesome in this dish ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow

You want to phase vegetables in accordingly based on considerations in flavor development and palatability of the finished product.

  • Neva thought of using fruit chutney, will have 2 try it. I also add broccoli 2 my spag bog, kinda diff but it goes rly well. ( I chop it into small pieces & add it 2 the sauce a min or 2 before finishing so it's still a lil crunchy)

  • Thaaaanks alot ... im gonna try it

  • No, not with the chutney, sorry.

  • @faviv Try it - you won't believe how good it is ;)

  • here's how i make bolognaise (my mum taught me lol) heat olive oil in the pan add chopped onion add chopped pepper add 2 cloves of crushed garlic add mince add a jar of bolognaise sauce add a tin of chopped tomato add a pinch of chili powder (a very small amount just for a tiny spicy kick) salt and pepper done simple and delicious, if you're young and living alone make food don't buy fast food every day. its greasy, its not food and its bad for you.

  • Chutney? Thats like jam right?

  • @Bigred8043 Chutney is a spiced, savory preserve made with onions and fruit. Similar to jam, but not sweet ;)

  • The male bigger version of Mirana Kerr! Haha!

  • Thank You so much i just recently had to cook for myself and the first time i made spaghetti it tasted like crap so now im actually using a recipe and your the first one.

  • Thanks for the recipes relatively cheap and good. I'm a university student love the Spag Bol (your recipe) and yes I have looked through and picked out a couple of your other recipes like the chicken/bacon risotto, thanks again. Room mates are going to eat well tonight!

  • David we dont have the chutney around here. Anything I could substitue?

  • @wreckanchor any savory fruit preserve will do. Barbecue Sauce is also good for a fruity kick ;)

  • HI David

I made a bit of a discovery the other day ,try spag bol with pork mince insted of beef and and the garlic right at the end

  • you have beautiful eyes

  • The chutney looks like it would be delicious, going to be trying that one for the fam. Thanks for the great recipe! xx

  • lol dave, I literally cringed when I saw you adding that chutney eeeew :P you haven't let me down yet so I'm still gonna try it. Is that the chutney without the chunky bits btw

  • There are a few chunks of onion and fruit in it - it goes well with the spaghetti sauce ;)

  • WOW big people arne't always big because they overate. If you'd watched the onepotchef faq then you'd understand.

Do us all a favour and stop posting ignorant stupid comments

  • @Brianmuuh - You're an idiot. Blocked for being a wanker.

  • Nope, it's ignorance.

  • Yep must have some parmasan :)

  • It's obviously not a traditional "bolognese" dish because...we don't have such dish in Italy!

Looks good though! Thanks for your great recipes, hugs from sunny Italy and happy new year!

  • a bit! I pack on 1 to 2 tbs of parmasan cheese, lol. Great recipe.

  • lol

  • I made some more of this tonight David, I spiced it up with a couple of drops of Daves Insanity Sauce :)

  • in the video he said no its not italian

  • @bkbenzy It was a joke.

  • Calm down - it's a video about Spaghetti - stress less!

  • i wish i had those eyes o.o

  • I suggest you watch the video again, and this time listen to the bit where I say "THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL ITALIAN RECIPE"

  • Comment removed

  • some people just don't listen

  • I made this today for lunch and it was amazing, the fruit chutney gives a lovely sweet flavour, 5/5

  • Wow that looks amazing, Only found you 2day, Glad i did :)

  • looksa tasty but the portion size is way too small :P

  • Too small??? Not in my kitchen!!!! LOL

  • Thank you sooo much, i love spagetti and how u cook it look so good, i'm going to try this as soon i can go to the market,, =D

  • Looks yummy, I will try it out this week. :oD

  • looks great

  • Hmmm It looks yummy!

I just cant get over the fruit chutney part, is it a spicy chutney or like a jam?

  • It's not a hot chutney. More like a mild, sort of sweet variety - something you'd have with a cheese board.

  • Thanks for the recipe! Btw OPC, how tall are you?

  • No problem - I'm 6 foot 6 inches - I can't remember what that is in metric. Just under 2 meters tall!

  • Wow, I figured you were tall but that's giant!

  • you have some nice eyes what color are they

  • Thanks - my eyes are blue :)

  • You had me up until the fruit, sweetie. But 5 stars as always, this time for your eyes, lol.

  • I never thought of adding fruit chutney! I'm going to have to try that next time! My secret ingredient for my spaghetti is mediterranian marinated garlic. The spices and brine from that really adds a nice background note to it. I even go as far as brushing my toast with the brine when I make sandwiches.

  • hey where,s the spud video :P

  • LOL I'm making that video with a friend, so I can't film it until she has a day free. Hopefully we can get it done soon - I love Potato Bake!!

  • Bolgenese is a staple for our kitchen. It can be used all week for various dishes. Thanks for sharing that with us all.

  • Do you have a job aswell..Are you a chef??

  • yummmmm

  • Hi,

It sure looks delicious to me. And it looks like an Italian recipe...I'm Italian...Let you know how it comes out..:-)

  • wow gonna try it later!

  • yum thats how i make mine with the chutney the best way i reckon to jazz up good ole spag bol

  • It's the best - the chutney adds a sweetness that's usually missing from bolognese. Yum!

  • Spaghetti is my favorite food in the WORLD, and even I get tired of it, I'll be SURE to try this!!

  • This is a great variation - especially when you use the leftovers to make toasted sandwiches the next day!!!

  • mmmm looks delicious will try it your way

  • Let me know what you think after you make it ;)
