@mavericklok : I find this video much better. The other one seems too bollywood album-ish to me. While this song seems to be a good depiction of the song, the Original Video did not make sense to me. The original video shows abstract things like "Scrabble - Padhe likhe bekaar", on the other hand, this video conveys the message quite simply.
It seems a lot of 'effort' went into this video, where as the original one might have been wrapped up in just one day. My thoughts :)
good vdo - but why does it start after nearly 1 min. wdn[t one expect better from an FTII graduate? But a well shot video assuming you shot the scenes yourself, and if so, well done.
definately this has a more of artistic touch and deepti had the liberty to make this video as she likes, by exploring the naivity of a young girl. but the orignal is meant for commercial use, hence it was that way.
Jugni Jugni and Jungi. Dipti u r a real jugni and u really deserves it. Kindly any how show this video to rabbi or show this video on television with the help of media. jugni dpti reaaly rockz...Great work and continew the same.
As a normal viewer (without having any knowledge about film making) after watching both videos i will say this one is Way better than original one It atleast make sense to me as having an average brain or knowledge....
I have only two words for this video SIMPLE & BEAUTIFUL
i wont say it was bad or good, its a watchable, one thing i like in this is editing, i think you can make it better so when you got more money and experince than watch it again and try to improve it.
This video is too slavishly literal for my comfort. There is no freshness of ideas. No originality. Only a film student's ill-digested, impulsive response to a brilliant song! And even the film student comes across as someone none too enlightened. Shows the direction in which FTII is headed. Hasn't seen anything worthwhile in long long time from Pune. So sad! The original video, in fact, is so far the best of any of Rabbi's videos including Bulla.
Hi Dipti, i reallie reallie liked this video, makes sense to the song now! i hope Rabbi liked it too! Well Manik was my junior in APJ School in faridabad. Great Work! Keep it up!
I strictly disagree with you on this. There's a saying in electronic medium, "don't show what you say and don't say what you show". If you listen the song carefully and decipher its meaning then you'll know what I am talking about. This video is more or less a exact translation of song and the original is opposite. That's where you rate the craft of film-maker. Its a good effort but original is better.

Clearly shows how little you understand poetry and even less of the film medium. What is so 'classy' about this extremely poor attempt? If Rabbi likes this video as someone here suggested, his decline as a creative artist is imminent.
hey it was a hilarious deirection by you...(if its really yours...:-)]bt can u tell me hw u managed for budget being a student..wasie m too intrested in direction bt one thought that keeps me away frm my dream is that whether one can have career just by passing out frm FTII or one needs to have a strong background..??
Hey !!!! the video is awesome & a very very welcome change for the original video that is a sucker. I was quite disappointed by the original video after an amazing video of bullah ki jaana main kaun but you seem to have filled the gap. Are you the person who directed this video or just lifted this from someone ?
Assuming you are director, the only thing that I can think of after seeing this video -
i) You need more budget. Seriously, you do...! dont look at me. i am a poor grad student in US. If you can get more money, this video will come out much much better.
2) Some of the scenes were v. standard. .eg. - Following the little girl while she is running. Lights of mumbai with traces behind. Fast forward view of people in mumbai. I would rate the video 8/10 on novelty factor. & 10/10 to bullah ki jana video.
video starts @1:00
