Wow I didn't realize there were such similarities, I guess that's because I couldn't take more than 5 minutes of the movie and I didn't play much of the WAR40K game. But damn, this video was spot on, the movie may very well have been based on WAR40k.

how come the first 2 mins of this is a wh 40k video game?... im surprised there hasnt been a mive made of any of those games workshop games yet- a 40k movie might be good, there was some pretty good creatures and robots in those games i was playing when i was young- genestealers, dreanoughts n stuff..

The implication was that Ghosts of Mars story and visuals was very reminiscent of the WAR40k game. Towards the end I am almost unable to determine what scene came from the movie and what scene came from the WAR game. It's easier for me to get the point I guess, since I'm not very familiar with either and not immediately picking up which is which from memory.
