@Mrgonzalez12345339 Try Setting the Gain to The lowest but not all the way down. and the dB level to at least 75% also make sure you plugged the mixer into the right inputs on your PC the MAIN Out to your blue input and the red and white CD Input into your green input on your computer. Also make sure that on the sound properties that Speakers are the default communications device and default device also in recording properties the line in is the default comm device and default device.
@Mrgonzalez12345339 You have static because the Mac is aluminium based. Try not connect the mac charger or cover the ground pins on the charger itself.
I really do dislike correcting erroneous information but....the double sided 'grill' isn't to allow pickup from both sides. the Apex 435 has a cardioid polar pattern, ie. its ONE sided. It picks up sound from the front and rejects sound from the back. Try talking into the back of the mic, see it sound as good. To pick up sound from front and back, it would need a Bi-directional pattern and that requires TWO diaphragms, one front and one back.
Hey dude, thanks for the review. I actually ordered this mic a few days ago from amazon. I'm mainly going to use it for recording vocals and guitar, but it was a real tough decision for me. I have a feeling that maybe I should have gone with the AT2020. But I couldn't find any reviews that really compared these 2 condenser mics. Hopefully after I try it out I could return it for the at2020. Let me know how yours works out though. Thanx
@PCizzle If It Helps, The Audio You Hear is Actually Me Using the Apex 435 if it Sounds Good, The AT2020 is A Kinda Low Sound Microphone and I Had that before This one, This One is Really Clear and Not as Fuzzy Sounding as the AT2020.
Good review.
Another thing tho, your accent, were r u from ? Its giving me hell trying 2 figure it out :P

I would suggest not using the ground cord. In my case I have the charger "ungrounded" and an extension "grounded". Hope it works.
