Hey their, i have a 07 tundra and bought the tbs, how do i know if i have the throttle body spacer the wrong way? ive tried it both ways and i can hear the whistle either way. i bought the taylor tbs though. And will my car mess up if its incorrect? Also i have it installed and for some reason my rpms are in between 1.5-2 wich is abnormal any suggestions? asap please
@dodge2289 I'm told it makes no horsepower. it makes low end toque. and only low end toque so for normal driving which is up to 3,000 rpm it makes good torque and improves throttle response. if you floor it you loose its effect. so when people try a 0-60 the throttle body spacers doesn't help at all. i mean it has to do something. as minimal as the effect is. or else why even bother making it? there's always some truth to what manufactures. it gives you power, just not as much as they say lol
@aaminjoshi91 a throttle body spacer is worthless on a mpi intake. it is disign to mix gas and air by creating turbulance but on multi port injection there is no gas coming in the thottle body only air the gas is sprayed in below.
Throrttle body spacer =paperweight. go on dodge forum.com to read more facts!
@aaminjoshi91 That is it lol, I got alot of power from: hypertech programmer, cat back magnaflow, 1.7 rr's, and spectre cold air intake. next up is a mild cam and fastman 52mm throttle body, and i'm shopping for a used intake manifold that I can polish and modify. I'll be makin a video soon.
@jakewoodstock yeah i have the airaid jr air intake kit and a somewhat custom flowmaster exhaust lol. i've thought about switching to a full magnaflow catback for the better flow design and sound. mines kinda loud. but yeah the throttle body will def help. I've wanted a tuner for a while. might just get one lol
if you are trying to get good gas milage, buy a focus or a prius- it senseless to spend money on all these mods for better gas milage as your focal point- now if you tow or haul, a TBS with a CAI and puttin some dual exhaust on will definatly increase your low- to mid-range torque
I have an 02 dodge ram and added an K&N intake throttle body spacer and superchips i get about 26 to 28 highway and about 18 to 20 city, plus i plan on adding a modified throttle body in a month or two to see if it improves my mpg more.... plus i have i whole lot more power

I love how people go out and spend 200 to 300 dollars if not more on these cold air intakes. go to the hard ware store and get some 3 or 4 inch air duct flex tube for $3.99. then some aluminum tape for $4.99 and a spectre air filter of air choosen size for $29.99. yep did what you did for $40.00 bucks. o yeah maybe 10 dollars for some sheet metal to form around the filter.
thats what everyone thinks. you woulden't notice anything differet about your vehicle. but people who keep logs on their gas milage say that they get around 2 mpg better.

Thats a ton of bull. Ive NEVER seen any proof of an expensive metal plate adding any power or improving gas mileage at all.
If you REALLY insist on having a spacer, just get a block of wood and cut it to fit, the wood will actually be better then metal because it wont transfer as much heat to the throttle body and its WAYYYY cheaper then buying the over priced ones the companies sell.
And this guy added an air intake too, so if his gas mileage improved its easily explained by the new intake.

Timothayyy is absolutly correct. Its a bunch of crap that a spaced helix design is going to atomize the air to get better milage. If its so obvious all the fucking car companies would do it stock. Plus im an engineering grad. and guess what unless you have forced air coming not including a large filter, it wont do anything. I can say that gains could be attained if air is forced into the intake such as an electric s/c. other than that, you people are buying into the words too much.
@PanzerAce88mm You're dumb as shit, Panzer. Where I come from gas is 2.50. I get about 13 mpg w/o mods. Now, 2.50 / 13 = .19c comes out to be 19 cents a/gall. now multiply .19c by say 20,000 miles. = 3,846$ dollars you've saved. and this will be even more depending on how much gas is you fuck!
@VossenDesign first off you sound really smart and well educated with the language. Second I don't even know what I said to piss you off so go screw yourself. Send another comment and waste your time I won't read it.
Want more Horse power get your stock TBI unit bored 5 or 6mm the only reason to use a spacer so the bored tbi can fit the stock manifold bore it to macth.
???? WTF same shit Ebay 40$ why pay 300 if you can only 40 ??
