This film affected me more than I can ever express... very sad ending but ENLIGHTENING as Yossi bravely and subtly confronted his sexuality and love for Jagger in the company of mourning parents and friends. This song "Bo" by Irvi at the ending is heart-wrenching and so fitting for the film. And yes, it will CRUSH you.

Despite the many ideological convictions about who's right, the fact is: thousands of deaths occurred without a justifiable reason on both sides of the Israel-Palestine. Invoking God and religion as it kills children is a sin without pardon, so I think. Remember the Israeli and Palestinian children killed without knowing why and pray for them.
The Bubble is also another gay themed movie but it exemplifies many great moral values besides just sexual and love elements. this is a highly recommended movie.

There are gay Israeli soldiers who refuse to fight and others not. The question is not being gay or not gay but who is willing to stop fighting and end the killing of innocents on both fronts, irrespective of the soldiers and their leaders are men, women, gays, non-gays. One cannot confuse the nature of a human being with his political opinion. There are gays in favor of Israel and there are gays against. I'm against any war based on politics and obscure reasons.

i'm so glad to see someone like you who is devoted to stand up against war and bloodshed. i don't think the conflict in west bank will cease if there's no mutual understanding and tolerance. well this is just an example, political wars and ethnic conflicts happen in every part of the world. have you watched "The Bubble", the same director of Yossi and Jagger? i think it's a great movie about what's happening in the middle east.

No, I've not watched the movie "The Bubble", yet. What's happening in the Middle East originated many millennia ago. Despite the many ideological convictions about who's right, the fact is: thousands of deaths occurred without a justifiable reason on both sides of the Israel-Palestine. Invoking God and religion as it kills children is a sin without pardon, so I think. Remember the Israeli and Palestinian children killed without knowing why and pray for them.

The Bubble is also another gay themed movie but it exemplifies many great moral values besides just sexual and love elements. this is a highly recommended movie.
you strike me as someone who has a balanced thought and unbiased justification. as you would see many people support only for one side and often slander the other without sympathy. when people grown up they reveal their true faces. yeah let's pray for the innocent souls.

Just as straights did not choose to be straight, we did not make a choice to be gay. We are what we are. No sane person would choose an orientation which would expose on to bigotry, hatred and misunderstanding. Even though I live in Tel Aviv, probably one of the most tolerant cities in the world, I don't forget what it is like in other places, especially in our neighboring countries.
