I remember when I bought their first album, I kept mixing their name. I would call them Street Social Sweeper Club, but I don't make that mistake anymore.

I know this is blasphemous to say, but I might like SSSC club more than RATM. SSSC seem to have a sense of fun that RATM never had. RATM were always pissed off and deadly serious. I like the party vibe that SSSC's music has. SSSC still needs a few more albums to really compete with RATM's legacy but I like where they are headed. Hopefully they don't break up prematurely like a lot of supergroups do.

I love how they are promoting social change and the revolution in front of magazines that subjugates and promotes women as sex objects. I'm not buying that they are activist for anything other than record sales with this album. All that social justice rap come off as a publicity stunt. Like Angelia Jolie is a good Mother and activist because she manipulates the press like a pro. Sorry guys but either you are or you ain't. Maybe the 14-25 year old boys are buying it but I'm not.

@lgmccarville You make a good point. Considering they are both rich and in the spotlight - these guys have to be careful what platform they speak on and how they spend their money - otherwise they risk contradicting themselves and losing all credibility.

But I don't think its only 14 - 25 year olds that listen to the band. I'm 30 and I still listen to ratm

He seems dispassionate, and it feels watered down and if this is the revolution, it definitely will not be televised.
