yes, i noticed that...it really matched the concept well. plus, this song to me is an example of the *naturalness* of ASL because i am sure you weren't deliberately trying to use same handshapes, it just seemed to happen and flow.

same handshapes was my favorite part cuz i kept going 'aha' caught that...over and over...second fave part was your expression and *affect* - you matched the artist's attitude - you used so many sign variations and they blended well - geez...intense :-).

Hello, don't take it wrong but It's not wrong... since you are using ESL it make it harder for you to complete understand the ASL. He basically did a AWESOME job on Asl-ing the song. ASL and ESL is complete BIG different :) Most deaf people use ASL. Whoever give this hearing person thumb down, GROW the freakin up. This hearing person is TRYING to learn... give it a CHANCE.

fr34Sh15: the signs aren't wrong, this is just not a direct interpretation (word for word) of the song. It's better than that. It's using ASL to capture the actual underling meaning and story behind the lyrics. By the way, ewittebog is a CODA (if you don't know, that means Child of a Deaf Adult) so he's been signing his whole life. Get educated before posting ignorant comments. By the looks of the video on your profile it doesn't look like you can sign well at all so you have no right to judge.

JE:  This is an interpretation! That is the whole point of interpreting, you are expressing the same idea of the source language into the target language. When you use more English word order then you are Tranliterating. That is what most people do when they "Sign a Song" on here. E though he INTERPRETS them! The meaning and the hearing culture it comes from! Majcally too! Following English word order only shows what the meaning is in English! Not ASL they are 2 DIFFERENT languages!
