Obviously it is symbolic. Read Daniel 7:17. The "Beasts" are symbols of KINGDOMS. Also, Trees "talk" in Judges chapter 9. This is obviously symbolic, because it talks about people.

The moral law has not been abolished. Jesus says till heaven and earth PASS, one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from it (Matthew 5:17-18) The law is not void through faith (Romans 3:31) All the commandments stand fast forever (Psalm 111:7-8) God never changes (Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8) Ceremonial laws, and ritual washings and eating/feast days were abolished, because they were a shadow of things to come, Christ being the fulfillment of animal sacrifices in OT (Colossians 2:17)

Your problem is, that the "end of the law" talks about the ceremonial laws, NOT the moral law. We know that Jesus said "If ye love me keep my commandments" and "If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments," so he upheld the moral law of God. The New testament DOES enforce the keeping of Sabbath. Luke 23:56, Matthew 24:20, Hebrews 4:4-9, Luke 4:16. Isaiah 66:23 also says that the Sabbath will be kept in heaven, so it does not make sense that it would be abolished on earth, and not heaven.

@Jesusisthetruevine in hebrews 4:4-9 is refering to genesis 2:3, do you know how long is the seventh day ? the days of the creation were not 24 hours days they took thausands of years as it is known that when the bible talks about days many times it refers to a period of time of many days or years, 2 peter 3:8, and if you read carefully says that the day god rested from his work has not ended yet so if it started after he created adam and has not ended that day is not a day in a weekend

@acaneotome There is no clearer way the writer of Genesis could have expressed that the Creation Days were literal 24 hour solar days than the way it was worded. The "evening and the morning" were the first day, etc...is obviously referring to the literal solar days known to early man. The Hebrews think of a day as starting at sunset, unlike most other cultures today which think of the day as starting at sunrise. Most misunderstandings of Scripture are due to misunderstandings of the Hebrew ways

@acaneotome Sometimes the most simple explanation is the right one. God gave us the sun moon and stars for appointments with Him and for signs and for seasons. We use the calendar with measurements of days, weeks, months and years to keep track of time and for planning for the future on a certain date. Of course there had to be starting point for all of this, especially the sun, moon and stars. They are not only a reference point for us today, but for tomorrow and for yesterday, and at creation.

@acaneotome Think about it. It is written that the Sabbath was made for man. God made everything in six days and "rested" the seventh as a pattern for us. That's the whole point of the matter. It's a pattern for us to follow, to work six days and rest the seventh. It's very healthy don't you think ? If the pattern was work for six unknown periods of time and rest for one unknown period of time, that would be horrible. Aren't you glad God loves us enough to have given us the weekend to rest ?

@blackshadowsnoopy I work five days and rest 2 , the purpose of the the sabbath in old israel was so that israelites would give a hole day to perform spiritual matters only as a nation. , the first christians had a debate of that, acts 15, after that debate christians stoped keeping days or sabbath, and as I explained a day in the bible does not allways means 24 hours , for example got told adam he would die the day he eat form the forbiden frut but did he died that same day, no, not in 24 hrs

@acaneotome Well, I work 4 days and rest 3, but the whole point of the seven day week and the sabbaths are to provide a reasonable time of rest for everybody from their labor. I believe the sabbath was given to Adam and Eve and was further emphasized with Israel. Those who are engrafted into Israel apply as well. Actually it's for all of mankind just as the sun and rain are for the benefit of all mankind, not just the believers. His grace is extended to all.

As for proof on the sabbath being observed by Adam, true there is no written evidence whatsoever that I know of. Only that Cane and Abel gave offerings even before any mention of offerings being required as well. Only the shedding of innocent blood was what was accepted by God, vegetable juice just doesn't point to the blood of the Lamb of God

3. @acaneotome God's law/Word never changes, neither does God Himself, neither does God the Son Jesus. so this idea of the law changing is preposterous at best.

We are not saved by keeping the law, be that does not mean we are free to continue breaking it like u antinomians teach. the law still stands to judge men, we will be judged by the law of liberty (ten commandments). Jesus said Go and sin NO MORE (stop breaking God's law), He did not say keep on sinning.
