ps. i bought an ibanez because of it's flexibility in tonality, pickup selection and floating point tremolo. All in all i think i made a reasonably good choice with an extremely limited budget.

Im on a tight budget too, so i got a second hand tele. Ibanazes arnt versatile! They (along with B.C rich guitars) are the least versatile guitars ive ever known. strats are probably the most versatile guitar in the world. Id also advise you to go look at the cheaper set of gretchs.

This guitar can achieve everything i need, nice clean tone and sustain on the neck, a nice bright low-output sound from the single coil and a good heavy low end at the bridge for when i'm in a heavy metal mood. Plus the neck is nice and thin (by preference) and i like the ibanez' angular form with some of the classic stratocaster curves. (i have to admit tho, when a string snaps it as an absolute bastard to wrestle back into tune)

@scotty686 I've had Epiphones and Fenders, but the two Ibanez guitars i've owned are simply the best. My Les Paul gave the best tone, unless you're playing blues or blues based rock it didn't hold out. And honestly... My stratocaster was the worst guitar I've owned.
