someone said jones placed in rhode island. he's from pennsylvania (pa, is an excellent wrestling state) and he won states. was favored to win it his junior year. his brother was a 3 time ncaa national champion. vertus could wrestle. he just happened to be in the same weight as sanderson who likely is the best ever.

Wow this man sanderson was facing, he was the national runner- up (duhh). But the thing is, you have to appreciate the level of intense training to even become an all-american. This man was not only an all american, but was a wrestler in the finals. But... Sanderson just threw him around like a toy, like Jones was just a high school state placer from rhode island... Jones is the only person to put up a decent match against Cael in all the Sanderson videos up on youtube. By decent I mean still getting dominated but not as bad as everyone else did. Cael makes it look like all his matches are already a win before the they even call his name.

That type of greatness and hard work are so rare and hard to obtain especially on the wrestling mat. He legendary like Jordan is for basketball and Payton is for football.
