This is a bit unfair, the film wasnt awful. i wouldnt watch it again, but it wasnt made for me, the studio commissioned it so Batman would be more marketable to the kids and families. Clooney actully does a really nice job in that Alfred scene. and besides if these films didnt fail we wouldnt have had Batman Begins or The Dark Knight from quite possibliy the best director in the world.
