  • it sounded like fred durst to me, maybe he didnt want his name on it

  • @megabadass30 (A) I am 27 years old and I know who Public Enemy is and that it's a cover. (B) I said "wrong" because you said "Staind never sounded like this". That statement is WRONG. They sounded like this on "Bring the Noise". The fact that it's a cover is irrelevant.

  • @TheScenicRoute

Now that I've heard the whole song... I really don't hear Snoop. I hear Aaron rapping... If Snoop's there it's really, really subtle. Like subtle to the point that it doesn't matter if he's there or not.

  • I asked Johnny April himself, on his FB page if Snoop Dogg was on "Wannabe" and he personally answered me back and said "YES, he sings part of the song".

I have the full album d/l and there are rap/numetal type verses that I didn't think sounded like Snoop at all. They actually sounded more like Aaron on "Bring the Noise" that he did for "Take a Bite Outta Rhyme". But, Johnny himself SAID Snoop was on the album.

  • i love the riff

  • @Friskey

You've heard the whole song?... Any way you could host it somewhere real quick if you have it? ;)... But Amazon doesn't just randomly post stuff like that. They post the info they're given. Maybe what you heard was an earlier version?

  • @packy341 I don't have it anymore, but if you have Spotify, the album is on there.

  • I asked Johnny April on his FB page about Snoop on the song and he said "YES".

  • shame on the disliker !

  • According to the Amazon track list, Snoop Dogg guests on this song... I dont know how to feel about that yet.

  • @packy341 I've listened to the song (don't ask me how! kthxbai!) and it looks like that's not true. Maybe they thought that because there's rapping lyrics in the verses. At first listen, I thought it was Snoop, but in turn, it's actually Aaron who raps. That's right, he raps on this song. And the lyrics for the song...yeesh, my ass is burned.

  • Man, I wanna hear the whole song so bad. It kicks ass. Can't wait til the 13th of next month.

  • I'm waiting for a full version!!!

  • Haha, like the lyrics.

  • im afraid.... sounds harder than tormented and dysfunction together... i will have problems to like the album but must have for every staind fan ^^

  • P.O.D. & Deftones feeling

  • nu metal is back, yessssssssssssssssssssss ... great lyrics ... Staind forever!!!

  • @84PatSch Fuck the Nu Metal ! its not Nu Metal its Heavy Metal !

  • @ninik06 sorry but “Wannabe” is a typical Nu-Metal / Alternative-Metal song … acquaint yourself with the different characteristics of metal genres

  • @84PatSch hummm alternative metal ok ...

  • @Jeff187342 there is a deluxe edition..and i know that because i reserved it but idk whats on it..maybe the version with Snoop Dogg could be a bonus track then? Id actually like to hear how he sounds with the heavy rock sound that Staind has lol

  • Holy, shit. aaroon. lewis. can. rap?

  • @theCALLUMR2 Hilarious -_- It's about the 'fans' who chastised him for going solo. Nothing but Wannabes.

  • @michaelevanswwwyki That's fucking awesome, so many of those faggots on the Staind facebook

  • @tonysoprano85 he will never be aaron lewis. EVER

  • @bigdaddypaddy1 i know but im saying anyone would be better than having snoop in it i think having the lead singer of saliva or corey taylor in it would be awesome.

  • I don't hear any snoop dogg. I don't know what you people are talking about.

  • @tubefu87 Because it's a sample. Snoop should be in there somewhere.

  • sounds TITS!

  • snoop on a staind track? pretty fucking awesome

  • Snoop Dogg?! WTF?!?!

  • SO EXCITED TO HEAR THE REST OF THIS!!

  • featuring Snoop Dogg! holy shit...I don't know how to process this...that Snoop Dogg listens to Staind blows my mind! lol

  • I'm not a huge rap fan, but I like Snoop Dogg! I'm excited to see what this sounds like with him in it!

  • i feel like if any rapper should be in a staind song it should be eminem or joe budden

  • If snoop dog is in it that will ruin the song

  • Official : This title is a Featuring with Snoop Dogg !

  • Can Aaron not do ANYTHING without someone ALWAYS hatin???!!! Guess shit talking about them is better then NOT talking about them!

  • @divazoe04 People are just assholes. They don't know anything. Aaron can do whatever he wants, he's as talented as they come.

  • supposedly snoop dog is in this track according to a website that they annouced uk tour in october. THIS TRACK IS SICK!!! Its gonna be EPIC!!!

Ps kinda reminds me of bring the noise.

  • Comment removed

  • how could you dislike this noway

  • Ugh...this track is supposedly suppose to feature Snoog Dogg. That'll totally kill the song if he's on it.

  • @FTboy18 Are you serious? That would suck :/

  • @MegaStevie1990 Yeah that's what one reviewer said. Hope it isn't true. Snoop Dogg is one of the greatest rappers of all time, but it be like if you were listening to a heavy Disturbed track and than all of sudden Jay-Z came in with a verse.

  • @FTboy18 Yeah thats not right

  • @FTboy18 I was thinking the same thing! Without being disrespectful, if a hip hop star was gonna feature of THIS sort of song, you would think it would have been someone witth a bit more aggression in their lyric style. Have you seen Snoop Dogg's rendition of Sad but True? Says it all really.

  • @atrumdiabolus As not being much of a rap fan, I have to say that snoop is awesome... He is one the best old skool rappers! He doesn't need to yell to get his point across he does it just fine with his smoothness... That is just my opinion =)

  • fuck yes, staind returns!!!

  • NUMETAL!! OMG! I'm so fucking stoked!

  • This shit is awesome.

  • Aaron Lewis is da man nuff sad.

  • this song sucks, i love staind and i love what i've heard from the new album (the bottom, not again, failing, eyes wide open) but i hate this, I WANT STAIND! NOT LIMP BIZKIT... staind never sounded like this, only the shitty bands that were out at the same time did, FUCK THIS SONG

  • @megabadass30

its funny you say that, because Staind was actually really heavy like this before LIMP BIZKIT founded them and told them to be softer. So if anything, Staind is being more like themselves instead of being more like Limp Bizkit told them to be

  • @xtrippsikoh that's not what i'm saying, i know they used to be heavy, i own all their albums, including their first album, tormented (heard of it?).... what i'm talking about is this semi-rap. they never had that element in their music. staind was always more post-grunge then nu-metal.

  • @megabadass30 so you're saying staind should sound more like staind and not obtain a new sound? I mean everyones looking for a new sound. So they're going a bit more nu-metal, no big deal. Better than the pansy route they were going down with their last album. Or like Papa Roch and Linkin Park. It's nice to head someone going back to the heavier side, even if they throw in some of the "Limp Bizkit" rap style, still better than the last album they put out :/

  • @xtrippsikoh i'd rather see them go heavy in an alice in chains sort of way. like they did on just go or a flat. also, this song's lyrics arent staind's style either, even on that last album most of the lyrics did reflect the same style most of staind's work has (raining again, nothing left to say, pardon me, break away).. as much as i love the heavy staind i love the not so heavy as well. while dysfunction is my favorite of their albums, 14 shades is a close second

  • @xtrippsikoh When did LB tell them to be soft?!? Fred found them during their Tormented days. Fred saw the album cover and wasn't going to sign them, but then he heard them play and changed his mind. Then, they made DYSFUNCTION, their heaviest album besides Tormented. If he wanted them to be "softer" they wouldn't have re-recorded Spleen and Mudshuvel, BOTH from the Tormented Days.

  • @megabadass30

WRONG. Listen to "bring the Noise" and you will hear Staind, and Aaron straight up rapping. I love it.

  • @ThaScenicRoute what do you mean wrong? staind never sounded like this, bring the noise is NOT A STAIND SONG! it's a cover of a song by a rap group named public enemy

  • lyrically it sounds along the same lines of "Elite" by Deftones

  • @XXjConXX straight-up...part of the song totally sounds like Deftones...but whatever, still fucking love Staind.

  • @coldstaind91 So Deftones are sick too

  • if they wanted this song to sound good they shouldn't have wrote "Not Again" nothings measuring up to that one yet...in my opinion

  • 0 dislikes? justin beiber hasnt seen this preview yet.

  • @KEVRO

Nice, you commented about there being 0 dislikes so someone hit it just to ruin your comment lol

  • @texasproof FUCK

    GUESS SOMEONE TOLD THE BEIB.

  • @KEVRO he has now lol

  • Lil Wayne is a wannabe too. Staind= Real music.

  • this song sounds sick as hell! i love staind

  • Gotta love that killer riff sound that based off from Limp bizkit/Saliva and I like how Aaron is good at rap.

  • @SoljaBadGuyBoyTellem funny how aaron seems to be better at rap than many of the rappers who have come out in the last decade :p

  • killer track, love that nu-metal tune

  • Not sure that I liked the way this song sounded when I first heard this sample because it sounded like your classic Nu-Metal, but now I think it's going to be one of my favourites also...

  • I personally think this sounds like the Break The Cycle days.

  • "its so easy when youre faceless" I think the lyrics are about people who bash Staind's sound on the internet. They are heavily criticized across the internet for being "post-grunge sellout pre-packaged angst Nickleback butt rock". I've only heard 4 or 5 songs from the new album so far, but I was impressed by each one, and thats more than I can say for Radiohead's new album as well as Linkin Park's, where each seemed like 50% boring filler... whereas Staind remains true to their fans this time.

  • This song is going to be one of my favorites. I can't wait.

  • awesome!

  • Almost sounds like a fusion between them and Seether... fuck yes
