  • Hello? Where can I buy that African Shea Butter? I'm in the States! =)

  • @BuzzyB9999 you can buy it from amazon.com or your local beauty market

  • i bought mine from eBay and it's curing my rosacea =) i will try for stretch marks too, but mine are white though, so it's a big bet. i choose eBay because the internationcal shipping is affordable, unlike other sites. i paid $7 for the butter and $10 for shipping.

  • @133anne that's awesome!!! also try amazon.com, they have better prices & cheaper shipping for sure :)

  • @JaimiLG

thx, but amazon likes to charge $30+ even for smalls things =( it's crazy

  • @133anne i'm a frequent amazon customer, i just looked and they have the real deal starting at 98 cents! shipping should be no more than $4.99 depending on which seller you buy from on amazon.

  • @JaimiLG

i'm in Brazil so things are a little different for me, i guess =/ i buy a lot of stuff from eBay though =D some even offer free shipping there. i have an amazon account but NEVER bought anything there because of this =/ (plus a lot won't even ship here)

  • Hello my dear. Thank you for this video. This definitely lets me know that I MUST update my actual website with the difference btwn my shea butter and the one you buy at the corner market, street vendor, or at a fair.

#1 difference is: After one year, your stretch marks should have been GONE, and using the "cheap" shea, there is a reason why they're not.

There's not enough space in these comment boxes to go into full detail so I'll truncate.

    (cont)

    -Tko

  • @TonyaTko My Shea is:

    1) Organic - Certified USDA

    2) Free Trade - Not slave wage shea butter

    3) Grade A - Safe enough to eat (Certified by ASBI)

    4) Glycerine chains in tact (Certified by ASBI)

    5) Laboratory Tested & Pathogen & bacteria free (Certified by ASBI)

    6) Never mixed & cut with inferior oils to cheapen it

You see the yellow color of that shea you're holding? MIXED - with goodness knows what, in WHAT type of conditions. I would most certainly NOT smear that on a baby (nor myself)

    -Tko

  • @TonyaTko Incorrect heating damages the fat chain, knocking pieces of it loose. These loose pieces are not able to do their job & they alter the characteristics of shea, making it hard to the touch & to absorb

Old rancid shea butter is stink & useless. People who are not paid a decent wage mix rancid shea with new shea & other oils to make it stretch ruining the whole batch. Cheap shea passes thru too many careless hands & is unregulated, useless & potentially dangerous

I can go on & on

    -Tko

  • yur skin is pretty do u wear makeup?

  • @QuanRav3 thank you! & yeah i do wear makeup often

  • Noo that aint the same girl, no sh-t! ;-)

  • Shea butter is awesome!

  • See, that's why I make my own products. Most of these "natural" products are made of simple ingredients and they tag BIG prices on them! You may spend a little money on the initial ingredients but once you have it all, you can make as much as you want. The best type of moisture, especially for hair, is actually just water. I DO NOT make oil-based products. I use a little bit of essential oils and dilute it in lots of water. That way, my hair and skin can get the proper moisture and essentials.

  • Can you message me all of the ingredients so I can make my own? I already have the shea butter and vitamin e oil.

  • @tierajashane1 now all u gotta do is mix it

  • You look awesome!!! Your hair looks awesome!!!

  • @tierajashane1 thank you

  • @josephineratzinger sweetheart, calm down. no one said it would make your stretch marks disappear, i said it would help diminish them. go to sleep.

  • I use for my private area as well

  • For Tonya TKO's method its Shea butter and oil oil only right?

Also how many times a day do you use Shea butter for stretch marks, I am scared about it being oily on my bed or clothes so I planned to apply it to my chest and hips when I come home.

Does it absorb well or stay oily lol?

  • @souljaaagiirl i would use it 2-3 times a day. Just wait like 5 minutes, it's usually never to greasy. it doesn't come off like that

  • Youre very pretty.

  • @UKGully thank you

  • gorgous eyebrowns.

  • could you do alot move video hair ,make up and nails ...

  • @cahal333 yeah i'm busy with school & stuff, but i'll definitely try and make more time to do so!

  • You are just gorgeous!

  • @chubroc3006 :) thank you, ur so kind!

  • you are ridiculously pretty.

    (:

  • @hannahlovesification oh wow thank you so much!

  • Great review going natural is the best.

  • @koshusha yup yup! natural is the best! :)

  • Even if very close to one another still differences. Grade A one thing, grade B is different just like in school. Grade a can be eaten but not grade B. One cost more then the other, that is what I have learned. Both good for hair n skin, but different. Grade A is very creamy n soft....TRACK...Raw Un-refined best

P.S. Remember to buy from "Fair Trade sellers" so women n children who make this wonderful product will get a Fair/honest wage, just like we want.

  • @TRACKtoU thanks for the insight! :)

  • @JaimiLG , Thanks 4 reply...You can still put whatever oils you want in shea, just double-boiler melt low heat with others butters n oils mix for a few minutes let it rested 5 minutes and mix again. NO WATER, OR BY PRODUCTS LIKE GELS! cause then you would need a preservative to keep from molding...TRACK...ur green stamps for 2day

  • I mean filtered. So is yellow or white better?

  • @music4all92 i've used both, but i believe white is better & more authentic, i just use the yellow kind now because it's cheaper & easier to find

  • Oh ok thanks.. :) mine is yellow..it cost like 6 bucks. One said unfilltered is that one ok to use too?

  • How mant times should u put it on? And I bought one off amazon but idk if I got the right one... which one off of amazon do u sugest?

  • @music4all92 maybe try putting it on 2-3x a day, until you see results, and then just put it on once a day after you shower. and as long as your shea butter is 100% then you're fine, not all jars are the same, and shea butter should be more of a beige color

  • wow your beautiful :)

  • @to1be1me thank you! much appreciated! :)

  • Is it just me but the complexion of her hand is different from her face. Not trying to be funny but, could it be Ambi?

  • @scullyb11 lol umm i never even noticed that about myself O_o maybe it's the lighting of the camera?? but i do use ambi skincare actually lol also, i have on makeup, so my hands aren't gonna look exactly like my face, that's kinda strange...

  • Thanks for ur imput but i was talkin to the person who made the video, not YOU

  • I bought African Shea butter at my local flea market were there were other products being sold. The guy said it will never spoil but when I opened it at home it smelled awful! Is that normal? I hope it didn't go bad! Thanks

  • @mardel3 lol shea butter doesn't have the best smell at first . when i first ever smelled shea butter i hated the smell but for some reason i got used to it. it shouldn't be unbearable though, i also use perfume to outweigh the shea butter smell

  • U have beautiful skin

  • @VCarter19 thank you!

  • @VCarter19

Beautiful skin? What the hell are you talking about? She has beautful EVERYTHING!

  • That OS not shea butter shea is not made in yellow I am from Africa

  • It is not a 100% shea in the store tko product is the real shew butter be careful you my be using just a little of the shea I'm the ingredients go back the real thing

  • @naturalhairz yeah i looked at a youtube video, the "shea butter" that i have may just be african butter, while shea butter is off-white. i know, but thank you for your input

  • can u use it on ur face for blemishes....and how? thanx:)

  • @MsBrowneye123 yes you can! i don't use shea butter on my face tho & have a few acne scars. my sis used it on her face & she said it worked for her. How? shea butter can be used for anything, marks etc so it should work for your face, but if you try it there, lemme know how that works out for you

  • doesn't work...fail...no pictures no peace...

  • @johnsmdm huh? it worked for me! it won't work as fast as people want it to, and nope i am not showing pictures, youtube doesn't need to see everything

  • @JaimiLG ....no justice no peace....we need to see everything....youtube has a right....us viewers that is....black people unite....

  • @johnsmdm well you'll be alright. and yes youtube has a right to WANT to see everything, but they don't need to see MY body. that's why it's MINE. you can take my word or leave it. i wouldn't waste my time making a long video, and i don't wanna mess with people's feelings like that. stretch marks is a touchy subject

  • @JaimiLG absolutely agree, your body is yours to cherish and if you don't want to show it more power to you! You're hair is gorgeous btw :)

  • @babifacedcutie09 thanks for the love :)

  • cool video but doesn't Tonya TKO add stuff to hers?

  • @LondonJahzara2011 it depends which product u get, but usually she just adds vitamin e. if u want to buy her product go ahead, but why do that if u can buy vitamin e at any store like walgreens or walmart & buy shea butter from a local beauty shop? i personally like more bang for my buck.

  • I just have them on my hips its just from having my baby. I haven"t bought it yet im still debating on do i wana spend the money ive been using coco butter and the jergins firming loation and thats working good hows tht shea butter?

  • @shonaboo171 hey if what you're using works, then great! i like using shea butter! it works for sooo many things, so it's not just for stretch marks

  • Correction : fast not faster . Lol Ok bye :D

  • Hello Jamie , I am 13 years of age and I have bad stretch marks. I've been searching for so long and its hard to believe that I pass by this product every other 2 weeks ! I mean literally ! Im ALWAYS at my local beauty supply . So , I'm going to go to try this and see how it works for me .

P.s - I am 50 % Jamaican and 50% guyanese .I am ALSO going natural with my hair . I've been going natural since march of 09 . no perms NOTHING . My hair grows very faster while in braids !

  • @StayTrue2Yourself103 hey! that's awesome starting at a young age should definitely help; of course it's a slow process, but shea butter is GREAT for your skin! Jamaican & guyanese? sounds like a beautiful mix! How has going natural been going for you? Are you fully natural or steadily trimming your ends?

  • @JaimiLG Im FULLY natural Baby ! Lol . But ,My hair is very uneven , so when it grows out more I have no idea what I'll do to it , but I'll make it work . :) But Anyways, thanks for the advice :)

  • @StayTrue2Yourself103 yeah no prob! maybe get it trimmed professionally, but u knooooow they get scissor-happy! So maybe trim it yourself to even it out! That's what I do! :)

  • @JaimiLG YES ! They do get a lil too happy .Lol But So Okay I'll try that , but do you like straighten your hair when you trim it ?

  • @StayTrue2Yourself103 no, i just put conditioner in it and detangle, then i pull the strand & trim it

  • @JaimiLG Oh ok , I'll Try that too ! How often would you recommend a trim ? ( Sorry for all the questions ) Lol

  • @StayTrue2Yourself103 lol whenever you feel your hair needs it, you'll be able to tell; i do mine every 2-3 months

  • @JaimiLG Oh Ok , Thats About it Lol Thanks ! :)

  • thank you for such an honest review

  • @Msros213 no problem! i HATE it when people aren't specific or aren't giving full detail. I still use shea butter and it's helped!

  • how long did it takes for you to see results

  • @mainsqueeze013 probably 3-4 months later, and i'm seeing more results now. That's all I can tell you because this is a long process and I refuse to give false hopes to people

  • Hey Jamie, fine job making yourself up like

Lauren Hill. You looked like a younger prettier version of her.

It was funny how at the end you said you were hungry and had to go.

    hugs

    - George

  • Did you use the Shea butter with the Virgin oil that Tonyatko recommended? I got my African Shea Butter today but I don't know if I should mix it. Advice?

  • @darknightcat the shea butter i bought from tonya was the one with vitamin e, but if u watch the video i said i think regular shea butter bought from any store for cheaper is the same, or better.

  • Jaimi nice tattoo video, would you ever get a tattoo?

    - George

  • @verygreatone lol u saw my vid for that?! awesome! and i already have 2 tattoos, and ill prob get my 3rd one this summer :)

  • Hi Jaimi, I came accross this video when I checked out one of

TanyaTKO's money saving tips while walking in the park videos. I think you are a sparkly person, what would be the best way to get to know you better. from George

  • @verygreatone why thank you! the best way is through youtube! you can find out about my interests, and i do my best to upload regularly;however, i'm quite busy!

  • You should try Revitol cream, where are your stretch marks?

  • @shonaboo171 i mentioned revitol in my 1st stretch mark vid, but i just didn't wanna pay themoney; just thought i'd go the natural route...but how did it work for you? maybe i can find it for cheap on Amazon. I have a few marks on my hip, thigh, and upper breast area

  • omg ur teeth are gorg! did u have braces?

  • @maghennaboo thanx! yeah i did lol for 3 years! wheww :)

  • hey girl... it was too hard me to believe that the girl on the video (which took me to here) is you.. you've become so refined and you look very beautiful here... this hair style really suits for you...

And coming to the point... am 21... i have OLD WHITE STRETCH MARKS all over my body esp GROSS LOTS on my arms.. would you suggest shea butter for me? would it make my stretch marks disappear or just lessen the appearance? If it just lessens, up to which degree will it?

  • @someone8323 hey! thank you! and shea butter will work for all stretch marks and help prevent them. i haven't heard of stretch marks disappearing but i know for a fact that they will gradually become less noticeable. This takes A LOT of time and patience, i'm not going to lie. but i hope that overtime, you will become more comfortable! As far as the degree, i believe that depends on the severity of the marks. Hope I helped! :)

  • @JaimiLG thank you for your help !!

  • you can also add the other oils: vitamin e oil, wheat germ, olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, sunflower oil, almond oil. I found out that buying the ingredients yourself and making it, is so much cheaper. I also make a different mix for my body and hair. You can also add essential oils or fragrance oil for scent.

  • I hope this isn't a stupid question ... is African Shea Butter just for dark-skinned people? I'm a white guy but i have stretchmarks and want to treat them. Thanks. BTW, is there a difference between SHEA BUTTER and AFRICAN SHEA BUTTER???

  • @PunisherPlaythroughs LOL it's okay. Shea Butter is for humans! lol no matter what color! Shea butter is made in Africa, so if you get "100% African Shea Butter",then it's legit pure shea butter instead of the additives. A lot of the products we use like lotion contain shea butter and cocoa butter, but shea butter is awesome! Def get it!

  • @JaimiLG Thanks! Btw, you are very beautiful! You must hear that a lot. But seriously, you're F.I.N.E.!!! LOL!!! Don't suposse you have a thing for fat white guys who need stretch mark cream? hahahahah! Hey, a guy can dream can't he!? ;D

  • @PunisherPlaythroughs lol haha thank you so much! i have a thing for all races, but i'm fine being single lol hope everything works out w/ the shea butter!

  • Comment removed

  • you are beautiful and so is your hair! I still haven't gotten to the part of the video where you reveal if your stretch marks are gone or not, but I sure hope they are. I am twenty with stretchies everywhere and I have just started scrubbing and massaging shea butter onto my skin

  • @NirvanaOnEarth90 thank you so much! I'm 20 as well, and I totally understand the fact about being botherede by stretch marks! i still have them, but they're not as noticeable which makes me less self-conscious! I now use shea butter all over my body to keep my skin smooth and to prevent future marks. I'm no expert, just speaking from experience. But I hope everything works for you as well! :)

  • Check out duchessgabrielle's channel. She breaks down each color of shea butter.

  • @againstalloddz4 gotcha will do!

  • Thanks for the update! Ordered unrefined shea, mango and cocoa butters from butters n bars.com Will see how it works. Just be careful with the yellow shea butter bc I hear it doesnt come from the actual tree that produces shea nuts. Real unrefined shea butter produces a ivory/beige color.
