If this is what country used to sound like, then I must have been dreaming when I played rock of the 3-dog night, Santana, Mick Jagger, KISS, Chicago, Deadheads (Helter Skelter-Beatles) and all the other ROCK Kick Ass groups. Sounds like 1970s rock to me. And, I have been playing music for longer than most musicians have been alive. Don't think I don't like it. About Velvet Revolver - You know what the biggest problem with super groups are? Their singer rarely ever fits in with the rest of the band. Since supergroups are made of two or more huge bands, the lead vocalist of one of the bands will almost ALWAYS clash with the rest. I mean, look at Weiland. Look at his Bowie influences. He is not Slash's kind of person. But look at Shooter here. Long hair, beard, decent lyrics, a guitarist who is at least competent.
