Mark played a couple of shows in USA... there was a show where Bruce replaced him at the middle of it because of Mark's hands problem. There is a pic where you can see Paul, Gene, Eric, Bruce and Mark at the end of the show. Sorry my english.

There was a concert at the Don Wash Auditorium 1977 at the school Gazelle headlined, then Axis Sally; Jabberwocky opened. The concert was organized by a high school junior named Brian Healy and about 1500 people showed up. The bands got nothing but the school made enough money to buy a new weight room for the pathetic jocks. What a waste!
Musically Animalize with Mark St John on it was one of KISS best albums.The fingerwork of St John on that album was incredible.One of my fav songs from that album is Under The Gun.I love the double bass work onthat song from Eric,whom is another member that is sorely missed.

Funny how everyone likes Mark st. john but hates tommy thayer. Mark was a replacement gutarist as is Tommy. the only difference is that Gene and Paul put Tommy in make up.
@raran44 Mark was replacing Vinnie who replace Ace. Both Vinnie & Mark played (or more likely) allowed to play in their own style. Technically Vinnie, Mark & Bruce are better than Ace. Ace though had that special something that made both him & KISS better with him than without. Tommy is in Ace's make-up, but more importantly is that he is that he sounds like Ace. To me there is NOTHING on Sonic Boom that doesn't sound like Ace could have done it. Fox mak-up worked. So could something else.

the saddest part is, is that Mark wasn't let go because he did something wrong. he was let go because he couldn't move his hand and the band decided they liked Bruce (his replacement) better.

That's a very close minded statement. Load/ Reload were bluesy albums, just because they weren't playing 1000 miles an hour doesn't mean it isn't good, you have to be open to new ideas.

Animalize was definitely the best KISS album without makeup. Even the stage design they had for that tour was the best one of that era. The only thing that sucked about Animalize was Gene's wig.

I do not NEED to drink to have a good time. I just would say if Gene claims not only has he never been drunk but he never even DRANK an alcoholic beverage I find that hard to believe. Sounds like Gene is making the statement to shock because that is what he enjoys doing. If it is true you have to admit it is very unusual for a Rock star to never have drank alcohol before. And I never drank in High School and I admit that is unusual behavior.

He used a Jackson Soloist. It was a black strat-type with 3 single coil pickups and 3 mini switches. At least that is what he was holding in the Heaven's on Fire video and the Animalize tour program.

I mean, i think gene can be funny. and i love his songwriting, and singing and bassplaying. but he can be a real dick and thats just a fact. and as u mentioned there are a lot of similar examples. the most obvious is probably axl rose in guns n roses. i love gnr and i like axls voice and i think he is a great musician but the fact remains: the guy is a class one, fucking a-hole.

do you know what easter egg means? if not thats your problem.

Animalize was definitely the best KISS album without makeup. Even the stage design they had for that tour was the best one of that era. The only thing that sucked about Animalize was Gene's wig.

Some people want to drink and follow the sheep...some want to have their own personality and not be sucked in by the
world party persona. Not saying drinking is bad...just saying most people do it cause they wanna feel like an adult. Then when they are an adult they have grown to love the taste or lifestyle. Anyhow I admire anyone who doesn't need to drink or smoke to have a good time.

I do not NEED to drink to have a good time. I just would say if Gene claims not only has he never been drunk but he never even DRANK an alcoholic beverage I find that hard to believe. Sounds like Gene is making the statement to shock because that is what he enjoys doing. If it is true you have to admit it is very unusual for a Rock star to never have drank alcohol before. And I never drank in High School and I admit that is unusual behavior.

Oh yeah I did not need you to inform me drinking is not a law. I was aware of that. People who drink do not have their own personality? I was not aware alcohol made a person's personality fade away. Believe it or not I do not need to drink to have a good time either! Many days go by without me drinking! WOW!
