  • i think we can ALL agree with that... another dreamcast please!

  • I don't consider this cannon with Perfect Dark N64.... they just can't be considered related.

  • looks like crap on a stick coverd in vommit and topped with an abortion. Perfect Dark for the N64 is the only Perfct dark ill play.

  • I remember when video games were just about having a good time and having fun blasting your friends heads off, not about graphics or any of that crap such as GoldenEye 64 and the original Perfect Dark. This reminds me of those games.

  • What i'm gonna say is politically incorrect, perhaps offensive to some people, but I'm gonna say it any way: PERFECT DAK ZERO IS THE GAYEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED...

  • @Payasoplas Which ultimately translates into PERFECT DARK ZERO IS THE FUNNEST GAME YOU'VE EVER PLAYED.

  • @colombiatm Defninitely NO, Just played it like 10 mins, and never touched it again...

  • @Payasoplas That means you suck.

  • @colombiatm Sorry i don't know my comment would offend so much the gay community...

  • @Payasoplas HAHAH! omg I laughed so hard at that awesome comeback. anyways, me too. WTF is this shit... embarresment to what perfect dark is supposed to be.

  • This game still has textures that blow any console fps out of the water, Killzone 3 included.

  • THIS A UNDERRATED GAME THEY SHOULD REMAKE THE 1ST TOO

  • ...And to this very day, I have been unable to complete the first level(after the training exercise) on Perfect Agent because of those damn laptops mounted on the walls inside the club...

  • Man. This game came out six years before it, yet it still looks better than Modern Warfare 3 graphically, in my opinion. I'm not a CoD hater, in fact, I like the series. I'm just saying, they really need to step it up.

  • @red16mage It doesn't even look close. The textures and environments are bland; the trees and grass look like an N64 game. The exceptional detail, rich landscapes, and varied set pieces of MW3 are a whole generation ahead. And every professional critic will tell you that.

  • I saw that Gamestop is selling this for $2. I think I'll pick it up.

  • rare should make another ip besides kinect sports . it would be cool if they made another fps they did make this game why not just start fresxh again and make another ip . or bring the perfect dark series back and try like what SEGA did with sonic generations maybe the next perfect dark might hit 80 something in gamerankings .

  • Does anyone still play online today?

  • @Ofaliss1 yes.

  • @colombiatm Thanks.

  • @Ofaliss1 Actually yes, I was pleasantly surprised when I bought this game like 2 months ago and saw that people were playing, but if there aren't, you can just put bots in the game and kill them.

  • Only fps that i truly loved on the 360, even though i have two 360's in my house i dont play the 360 much, but this game really brings me nostalgia for some reason, maybe because its the first fps i ever played on 360

  • I was a sega fan boy 2! Now it's funny to see the new fan boys of today go at it! 1 day some of us wake up and learn to love all of gaming!

  • this game looks like it sucks ahaha

  • @davefollow: Screw you: The game is actually great once you get used to the play mechanics (you can only sprint unarmed) and the tactical-like style of play. Even though this the first Xbox 360 gme, it graphics are some of the best, if not the best, to ever grace this console, even now 6 years later!

  • @DNchap1417 Completely agree with everything you said.

  • Just bought for 1.99 at gamestop lol

  • i got this game for 5.00 at gamestop

  • @pancakeman17 I got it for literally a dollar. You got jipped.

  • bieda

  • Ultra realism of cod4? LMAO

  • Comment removed

  • thats great ai and hey did u kickstart the motor

  • shud i get the collectors ediition for 7 bux

  • @12tippettm I think you should. Its a really good game for 7 bucks

  • i dont see why people hate this game wow give microsoft a fucking break already and shut up and be happy what you guys have.

  • This guy sounds like Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation.

  • @Banjokazooiemaster what a terrible show

  • nice video

  • This game and the original were awesome as well as the remake

  • never did get into perfect dark zero and the first one.

  • thats funny when i played that level i had magic.......

  • Her name is Bond, Joanna Bond, daughter of the most legendary spy of all time!

  • The voice-over guy doesn't know how to say words.

  • just bought this for $2. hopefully it's worth it. lol

  • @disturbedy0uth same here, but i played the first level, and it was SO worth it.

  • @disturbedy0uth i say its worth having the only game on your xbox 360

  • @disturbedy0uth I think it's worth at least $10.00 personally.

  • @disturbedy0uth Unfortunately it's not.

  • @disturbedy0uth me to lol thursday!

  • @disturbedy0uth At Gamestop?

  • Does the game use the Unreal Engine? The graphics look a lot like Bioshock! Or should I say Bioshock was influenced by this game as it came out less than 2 years later!

  • 4:54 , oh my god that face argh!!!!

  • Big up timesplitters 4!!!!

  • Do you think Terramax and Colombiatm had some freaky make up s3x after that? :P For the record though, Colombiatm was absolutely right, and i've been playing games since most of you were getting your arse wiped

  • I wish my 360 wasn't broken so i could play this.. :{

  • I've played this game with my dad when this was new. We didn't get very far but it was fun for a bit. Something tells me it's not as great as the original one though.

  • @shadowhexogram To be honest, it isn't.

  • i just this game (Special edition) at Gamestop for $1.79 (With "PowerUp" card discount). SCORE!!!

  • Just bought this game.

I don't understand how this has great level design. Levels, particularly with vegetation, are convoluted, and it's hard to understand where to go or where enemies are. During such sections you can't see the enemy but they can see you resulting in frustration as you're constantly getting hit despite taking cover.

AI isn't clever, you can only carry about 2-3 guns at a time, and indeed the game is very slow. I still enjoy it but many will find a lot to dislike.

  • @Terramax you suck at video games, stop blaming the game for it.

  • @colombiatm

Please, no acting like a 7 year old on these videos.

  • @Terramax What?

  • @colombiatm

Childish comments like 'you suck at this game' are just plain boring. I made an analysis of PDZ, using reasons to back up my conclusion, and your comment was uncalled for.

  • @Terramax i really didn't meant for it to sound like i was trolling, but it's the truth, if you didn't enjoy this game and you got lost in the environments, you were doing something wrong.

The game provides you with the necessary weapons and instructions to get through any environment, the frustrations you encountered are most likely cause by you, not the game.

  • @colombiatm

Nah, I've played this game with two other people and we're all good at games but with different gameplay styles. The layout of the game isn't well thought out. If an enemy can see you at 100 meters away, with 10 trees in the way, and sharpshoot you, it's not good AI. Also, there a problems characters moving slow, the covering isn't as rewarding as it should be, etc. Like I said in my OP, I still enjoy the game, but others who've played newer games will find a problme with all this.

  • @Terramax it's a shooting game, you're bound to get shot but if this is such a problem to you, you could always change the difficulty settings, overall seems like you're just bitching about insignificant stuff.

PDZ is a great shooter that noobs find difficult to understand and deal with, you being a good example.

  • @Terramax "Levels...are convoluted, it's hard to understand where to go or where enemies are." The problems with games of today is the lack of this which you stated, everything is pointed out for you, do this, do that, go here, leaving you with nothing to figure out but to just run and gun...I remember playing the statue park in Goldeneye for the first time and getting lost because I kept going in circles, but it made the game that much better, games today hold your hand the whole way, sucks.

  • I loved this game

  • got my copy for 3 dollars

  • "is this perfect dark or a bond movie" thats what i thought too :)

  • People saying this game sucks need to reconsider their taste in FPS, games are supposed to be fun and this game is FUN.

  • some of the gun reloading sounds are the same as black ops

  • It's amazing how fast Rare became irrelevent after leaving Nintendo.

  • @KevinBusomjack: Rare did not leave Nintendo; Nintendo made the sad mistake of selling Rare off to Microsoft, so it's their loss. Why did Nintendo sell off its greatest second-party developer?!!!

PDZ is a great game, but the only things I find annoying is the fact that you cannot run or jump, where there are plenty of buttons to choose from!

  • @DNchap1417 You can run, press up on the pad.

  • @colombiatm: D pad or analog stick?

  • @colombiatm D pad.

  • @KevinBusomjack

    their shit

  • @KevinBusomjack considering the games they put out after leaving nintendo it's little wonder

  • @aglewi41 - They put out great games after Nintendo. Their games still feel like Nintendo games. Perfect Dark, Kameo, Banjo-Kazooie & ViVa Pinata were all really great games. I think its just that gamers are in an age where they just want a diifferent type of game, which is why gamers have overlooked Rare games this gen. This generation seems to be too busy playing cod games. Now microsoft is quickly running them into the ground because of this.

  • @xkrazyxboix101 I couldn't agree with you more. Many Nintendo fans are simply bashing Rare because they no longer work for Nintendo. Sometimes, aside from considering what Rare has done, we should also consider how Nintendo, selling loads more than before, has also lost much of its touch. Besides, many people tend to forget that many ex-Rare members are in companies such as Free Radical and Retro Studios (ex-members from Square, Lucasarts, Rare & the Turok teams).

  • @xkrazyxboix101 I've been buying Nintendo games for more than 20 years, and I do NOT think that Starfox Adventures was in any way inferior to games such as Donkey Kong 64 or Conker's Bad Fur Day. Neither do I think that Kameo cannot stand alongside games such as Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess. In fact, during the GameCube years (and even the N64 and SNES era) Nintendo was not the one to get the most of its console (Capcom, Konami, Square, Rare...did it).

  • @celtance Kameo is a thoroughly mediocre game. Nintendo has always gotten the most out of their systems. You're hopelessly blinded by nostalgia. Nintendo's first-party lineup for Wii is infinitely better than that of GameCube.

  • @EkajTheSwordsman I would not say that Kameo has been Rare's best game, but I do consider that some N64 games by Rare (Mickey's Speedway USA or Donkey Kong 64, for instance) were worse than some of their subsequent efforts. Besides, I would say I am not blinded by nostalgia, but based on my own experience with GameCube, miles better than Wii -especially considering its time of release. It is the Wii lineup which is miles below that of its predecessors, even in 1st party games.

  • @celtance If you hadn't said Kameo was better than Zelda, I would not have singled out the game. Personally, I prefer DK64 to that game any day. Whether you prefer Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns, NSMB Wii, Brawl, TP, SS, Sin & Punishment 2, the Art Style series, Batallion Wars 2, MP3, MP Trilogy, Other M, Xenoblade, Super Paper Mario, Kirby's Epic Yarn; or Melee, Sunshine, WW, Four Swords, Air Ride, MP 1&2, Batallion Wars, and Baten Kaitos is a matter of opinion.

  • @EkajTheSwordsman As I said before, I'm saying that based on my experience with those games. being a huge Zelda fan since its origins -and thinking that the best in the series are A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening and Ocarina of Time- I was hugely disappointed with Majora's Mask and, especially, Twilight Princess. The latter was simply boring, flat, unappealing to me. But as soon as I switched on Kameo, the feelings were very different. Zelda also has ups, 'downs' and lows.

  • @EkajTheSwordsman In that sense were are both talking about our personal preferences. In your view DK64 is a jewel, and from my point of view is far behind the degree of mastery in the original DKC series, especially when compared to the huge achievement (not only in graphical terms, but also in terms of playability) of the first title for SNES. Regarding the Wii lineup, I find it hard to pick up more than 15 titles worth buying, and that had never happened to me with Nintendo.

  • @EkajTheSwordsman At the same time, I'm sure that Wii fans would be absolutely dazzled (or would pretend to be so) by many games appearing in 360 or PS3 if they could put their hands on them or if they were exclusively released in Wii or WiiU. During the N64 era I had more than enough of that sort of politics, and maybe the repetition of that tactics is what had driven me away from the system and its games, most of which I find lacklustre and derivative.

  • @xkrazyxboix101 Finally, during the current generation, even though I own a handful of Wii games, they are nowhere near the more than 120 games I got for GameCube, for instance. I also own a XBOX360 and, if I only had a Wii, I would have missed many games I really adore (Alan Wake, Project Gotham Racing, Forza Motorsport, Resonance of Fate, Bioshock, Enslaved, Lost Odyssey, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Bayonetta, Mass Effect, Vanquish...etc). Now Nintendo is just lots of hot air

  • this was the like firt 360 launch

  • re bought this today for $1.79 since I had my gamestop pro card, it was $1.99 hehe

  • Haha, I'm taking it CGR got a lot of flack on their review of the original Perfect Dark as he's disabled comments ^^

  • It's pretty scary how little "nextgen" games have evolved since 2005. It's still just MOTION BLUR!11one and tons of shiny, exaggerated bumpmaps. I still think Half-Life 2 is the best looking game ever made; put a few high-res textures on it and it'll look like a game that came out this year. I wish I was joking..

  • when i first got this i was such a boss now with all the new fps's now ive been spoiled too much=(

  • i herd saber wulf from killer instinc is on here is tht true?

  • pisses me off for som reason why this games mechanics is similar to deus ex human revolution.

  • @victorhng I don't understand. That game isn't even out yet. Which game mechanics?

  • @BloodxElf how u can go from first person mode to third person. other than that i dont like this game and even if i had an xbox i still wouldnt get it

  • @victorhng You only go into the third person perspective when you take cover.

  • Hey guys, how do you get "liscensed to kill" (the 007 equivalent) on the multiplayer bots? anyone know?

  • is it just me or did he not use or mention the weapons secondary abilities once in this whole video? every gun he had still has its secondary abilities....

  • I just bought it for $0.99

  • @Toravisu88

    where ???

  • ...wish this came out 4 the ps3

  • The only thing you can access in the original Perfect dark for N64 "Without" the expansion pak is the combat simulator, which is basically single or Co-op Multiplayer...... and I bought the game only for that! sense I wasn't going to by the expansion pak just for one game.

  • Perfect Dark Zero was also one of the first 360 games....I think. :/

  • A rated "M" game features "Blood Language Violence", come on! this is got to be a rated "T" game!

  • You sound like a robot talking about the game.

  • The only thing that i really loved about this game was its fun shooting mechanics. I found to the level design to be shallow, repetative, and "same looking". The stotry was stupid and the graphics were weak. But other then that its a pretty good game. Definatly worth a shot!

  • what i always liked about perfect dark is you can use bots to fight against or aside with that you can command.

  • @creapah Yup ^^ me too i put many hours into the 64 version.

  • The shooting and movements are fun as hell. But the graphics are so PS1!

  • @actionist2009 this looks fucking greate for 2005!

  • @GAMERSHARK100 Ever play James Bond Nightfire? It came out in 2002 and the graphics are WAY much better then this! Actually nightfire has more realistic graphics then alot of 360/ps3 games out there. I think they was playing it cheap! Not much thought went into the storyline or graphics.

  • @actionist2009 you know what sucks about nightfire i can't find it

  • It has all the things that the modern games have taken. Gears of War's cover system, blood, high quality, probably higher than black ops.

  • are they gonna review Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts

  • Perfect Dark Zero is like an unpolished gem. It's not the sequel we were hoping for, but it's a great game! Especially considering it was a LAUNCH TITLE!!

Anyway, the Co-Op on Perfect Agent was amazing and I remember playing the multiplayer for two years straight. It took allot of practice. ALLOT more than other shooters, but once you became a skilled player you constantly kicked ass online. The game is very unforgiving...and that's a good thing!

  • was this the first game on the 360?

  • can you play this on the new xbox 360 slim?

  • @PS3gamerPRO1997 you can play pretty much every xbox 360 game on the slim new or old so yes

  • Comment removed

  • I swear 90% of the haters on this are either retards who didin't play the original and heard it was awesome and then played this or retards who just didin't play this.. Its basically a HD version of the n64 one and maybe its not 10/10 but its good, and honestly i would call it an excellent game for such an early release.

  • Really? PDZ was a complete failure. Nintendo was not competent enough to handle Rare with their own hands. The fools forced Rare to build PDZ on a Japanese design, instead of the original one, a true sacrilege -even that ''zero'' thing is- a bit like the Twilight Princess design on Zelda's series. Meanwhile, Microsoft bought the loyalty of Rare and PDZ was transferred to the new xbox 360 without that. Honestly PDZ isnt bad but isnt right. Thats just another typical case of a rushed transfer.

  • "you killed 'Stud Oreo'" @ 7:44 ... LMAO

  • shame on rare for this piece of crap

  • Thumbs up for random bald prostitute running up the stairs @ 4:42 #LOL #FAIL :D

  • I haven't played it, but the review of this game makes it feel like the good old N64 game.

  • Shitty game

  • This game has notourilously BAD level design!!!

  • YES i agree the n64 version is better just like banjo tootie the one on xbox 360 banjo kazooie nuts and bolts it sucks

  • If there's anything that shouldn't have happened in the videogame industry (or at least my oppinion) is that Rare(Ware) shouldn't have left Nintendo! I'm not saying that Microsoft spoiled them or anything, I consider that Rare have left us down themselves and there's nobody to blame.

  • N64 version is better but this game is still brilliant. hugely underrated. The multi-player is solid too

  • wow they used the sound effects of the gun reload i can hear the sound for the assualt rifle from Halo Combat Evolved

  • Every time I see this game I just wish it was the original. I try to enjoy it, but I go the entire time like "this reminds me of the original" "this was like that time in the original" I can't do it. The controls feel strange somhow, I did not get in to the multiplayer part ether. The first game is all I need, along with Duke Nukem 3D, fps paradise right there.

  • lol that was my first game on the xbox it was gay xD

  • You should have covered the multiplayer a lot more in this video review, for me that is the meat of the game, as the campaign is terrible in so many ways. The great thing about the multiplayer is that it has a total of 32 players online (which is the highest for an Xbox 360 game) and if you prefer offline then you can play multiplayer with bots. There are also vehicles on some maps and there are 2 DLC map packs on XBL of which one of them is free.

  • 2:23 HEAD SHOT!

  • the n64 is way way better but this is ok

  • Everyone in the forums complains that this is the worst game ever made? It looks okay to me, but Ive never played it. Dont got a fuck box, dont plan on getting one.

  • It OK but it hard to get into because the gameplay is pretty slow and controls where pretty stuff to me by the standers too newer FPS

  • perfect dark zero is like goldeneye 007 (wii) for the 360 in my opinion. although I like 007 more.

  • do people still play this game on multiplayer mode ???

i really wanna know cause i wanna play !!!!!!!!!

  • This game always gave me motion sickness.

  • *MEGA-SHARP INHALE* I just got a boner! Anyone else get turned on by her? ;) Well at least in Perfect Dark Zero, in the other one she's not as hot. :( :D

  • dark + fenix = weird al yankovik WTF

  • this guy sounds so....depressed

  • did he shoot morphius? xD cuz of them looked like morphius

  • Plus this is a perfect example of what happens to Rare after some of the best designers left to form their own company, Free Radicals. Those guys made GoldenEye and the N64 Perfect Dark what it was and without them Rare was never the same again. Free Radicals are amazing!! Timesplitters: Future Perfect proves that which is one of the best games on PS2/XBOX!!

  • Perfect Dark was the best game on the N64 hands down but was too over shadowed by GoldenEye. It did everything much better plus it was not constricted to a pre set story line or existing franchise. It being over shadowed though is another reason I love it though as I tend not to enjoy games when people go one and on about them being amazing. Always tried to go against that. I like discovering games for myself not having opinions forced down my throat!

  • I got this game yesterday, and breezed through the singleplayer in a matter of hours (I played on easy). I didn't like it that much, except that you have to give it that it got nice looking weapons and excellent music. The multiplayer however is pretty fun, and worth the $4 (or 30SEK in Sweden) i payed for it.

  • Comment removed

  • I got to get this game. I have the original on the n64 but i need to get this. Its one of the best shooters out there on the 360. I can get it for like $5 now. But still.

  • you give the best game reviews ever!!!

  • this is the bes shooter out there.... im a girl though so of course id say that... my fave game for xbox 360 and the original

  • i like your review better than ign ur way better

  • @390fusion you cant spell Ignorant without IGN

  • Rare should just go back to developing for Nintendo as a first party developer because they have dropped off the face of the Earth since Conker...

  • @VidGamePlusMovieRevs They work for Microsoft. Kinect Sports was great.

  • She sounds like having sex every time she gets shot

  • I'm going to guess that Lazenby is this guy's favorite Bond?

  • PDZ was fine. PD64 was fine, as well. However, PD was always overrated. The first game had puzzles with such poor level maze-like design. Neither are awful, but PDZ is hated for some reason. The first one wasn't that great.

  • i own this game a love it

  • The Dreamcast is the best console ever.

  • new dreamcast1! =)

  • what is this shit?

  • good graphic for a 2005 game

  • Shoot Everyone, Forever - The Game

  • super excellent review and yes dreamcast kicked ass . its was the original xbox in a way with online and 4 front ports . pads kinda looked the same and Microsoft helped develop it . still got mine with almost every game going . i also didn't like perfect dark on 64 . just wasn't golden eye :( . PEACE might go buy this its only £2.70 on play dot com :)
