They are in no way related in the television show. And I despise Arthur/Gwen. They have no chemistry whatsoever unlike Armor

you should definitely go watch legend of the seeker. I've just recently gotten hooked. It took me 2 or 3 episodes to get into it, but if you like Merlin and Robin Hood I definitely think you'll enjoy it ;)
