@killer2droids lol WOW that comment was from year ago. I finally did get it working. Recently too! Got better graphics card so now i can play it on high. Made GTA 4 and EFLC first person plus other mods.
@killer2droids If you need help let me know. Best to update the game to 1.0.7.0 as well. Fixes a lot of texture problems. Plus, there are plenty mods for 1.0.7.0 unlike a year ago.
@Email1212xxpl after you have all the files you need, it should be by double tapping the Vkey, or what ever your camera cycle button is. but its no in the cycle, you have to double tap it.
i've put the file checker in the GTA 4 directory file, and then when i start the game the main menu ( start, option, guide, and exit ) is disappear. there is only a black thing under the background. sry for my bad english
@Kresno1306 I believe filecheck is *not* needed on the earlier patches. try runing it with only scripthook, fps mod, and the asi loader. that is likely to be the problem. your earlier message said you were on 1.0.2.0 or something like that. if it isn't that you don't need file check, it might be that you need patch 1.0.0.4. =\
also some of these files create error reports in the same folder they are in, and you can view these if they are not working properly to maybe find a solution.

@Kresno1306 wow, this seems a little over my head. but i dont think you actually need the scripthookdotnet for just FPS. icould be wrong though.
If you have been downloading alot of files and putting them in there to see if they will work, the only thing i can suggest is removing all of the modded files. then ONLY add the ones you know you need. but other than that im not sure what you can do.=\
is it not possible for you to get a more recent patch? and try to get the newer version of files?

@lollarii Hmm, well if your game has auto updated to the latest patch, you could be on the patch after 1.0.0.4. if you are on this patch, then you will see a new menu when you boot showing the regular GTA and the GTA XPACS. if you see this, check out my video for 1.0.6.0 and get the file links from there. and if this is not the case maybe you should get the files for 1.0.6.0 anyways because they might be backwards compatiable with 1.0.4.0. but only do my last suggestion if you are out of ideas.
@westlove24 assuming your have the right patch for these files, which is 1.0.0.4(this video is no longer uptodate, see my other one for patch 1.0.6.0) the only thing i can suggest is right clicking and runing as administrator. sorry, hopefully that will help, it fixed my friends.
@12uniflew You have the updated script hook, asi loader? also run in admin, and check my videos i have a video for version 1.0.6.0 with links for the files
@12uniflew if you have the patch and all the files i listed, and it still doesnt work then i dont know what to do, sorry. you could try patching it up to 1.0.6.0 and using them files instead, but i dont recommend this unless you really want this mod. i am currently using 1.0.6.0 now btw, and sorry for the late response.
@GhostBullit If you update to the next patch chances are your mods wont work without new loaders etc (except for maybe texture mods). but the first person mod still works in patch 6 with a new asi loader and script hook
There are new files, replace the scripthook, and asi loader with the new ones, and delete the file check. go to gtagaming(dot)com/downloads/gta-iv/tools/4775 change the(dot) to a .
@GhostBullit um they should work offline if you are refering to the links i gave, i dont see why spark would make you not have them, i have used spark to change some textures.
Ok when I run LaunchGta.exe or whatever i also run it in admin and when i run it i stops and it says The ordinal 5365 could not be lockated in the dynamic link libary xlive.dll.
@Unknownspecise Hey, sorry i havent been checking ocmments, but im pretty sure i dont use Xlive, its been a while since i have checked these files, but from glancing at them it doesnt look like i use Xlive. have you tried using all 4 of the files i used and clearing(back up in another folder) all the old files you may have added?
it doesnt work. i got all the file and copy the five files u listed to my gta directory but when i launched the game from launch gta.exe an error pops up sayin efc create error in module dsound.dll at 0001116c5 cannot creat file c:\rockstargames\grand theft auto 4. somehow when i delete the dsound.dll it launches again but the fps mode wont work. help please!!!!!!

The aviloader dosnt work. It dosnt give me Dsound.dll it just gives me a RAR folder. Do you have any other AVI loader suggestions?
