@2011maxaguilar I'm a chemistry major...methanol and dimethyl ketone (acetone) evaporate and thus condense before the drinkable ethanol. All you need to do it get rid of the first 5% or so of product you collect and its 95% pure ethanol from there on out.
oh yeah, why did you use stainless steel instead of copper? thought copper was best for stills. the link does not work so do you have plans for this still? let me know thanks
nice job dude. and dont listen to those internet trolls, at least you understand what you are doing. plus you understand the "great nation of UNITED STATES" while they have no idea how good they have it here. they are morons. great job nice work keep it
Your channel is a great testament to your work. I've taken a look at several of your video's and really appreciate that you took the time to share with everyone.
It's a shame that some people with little or no ambition toward researching alternate energy sources choose to criticize those who make that honest effort.
Congratulations on your efforts. And thank you for sharing.
@CreQ I am not an egoist so it is not for Kazakhstan only, no , it is also for the great nation of UNITED STATES, the same way as Russians do in your favorite movie "LORD OF WAR" that actually based on real facts, while your Borat character no more than fiction, and if you like to make a jokes of my pronunciation, then first imagine yourself speaking Russian publicly on youtube, I believe it is going to be really funny, and we talking here about distillation not the way I express myself.
@CreQ Ok man, I understood what you want, you are simply using my channel to attract some attention to your person: I have built a heaps of different stuff with my own hands, have hundreds thousands of views, a lot of subscribers and friends - you have a few views and 9 videos where 8 of those are all about cannabis growing, and certainly not good videos to attract some certain people's (men in black) attention. Just build or discover something, set the record, make the vid, comment on it.
@omally757 Ooo, thanks a lot I was trying my best, a lot of training and finally I can speak like your favorite movie character, one more time: thanks a lot, and best regards.
@emediamark The still is continuous because it can process continuously any amount of mash available without reloading, and continuous distiller is for distillation please do not confuse with continuous frmenter for non stop ferment preparation and how you can call even fermenter continuous if you have to add sugar and supply water, the sugar must be grown by fermenter and water must be added by fermenter with help of continuous still and togrther tey are real continuous distillation machine.
@justino1970 Hi the bio ethanol is the same as just ethanol, but it can be purified or contain all the impurities - no mater for the car, so the bio ethanol is the one that made out of bio material from cellulose to sugar, though there is synthetic ethanol that made out of Ethan gas that follows the crude oil or separated from the crude oil.
I have a question. What if one were to recycle the waste water through a radiator, and back into the still? Cooling the hot water and reusing, in summary. Would this work? Thanks.
@linkchrono1955 Hi you are absolutely right, there is video on my blog about recycled water usage in distillation just search youtube for: "Portable cooler, for home brew distillation."
i know the advantages of the continuous still, but one question, it produces EtOH fster than the comom distiller?, by the speed of the drops i don't know for certain...
It is a part of my 100% off grid house plan. I can get a 5kw wind turbine for 10 000€ retail or less wholesale. I also get a 70% tax break for the value of the turbine. So its about €3000 that I would gladly pay to have greater energy independence.
My first continuous stills were gravity fed, but you have to elevate either entire fermenting vessel (could be one ton) or use medium vessel and again pump and liquid controll system to mantain the level in the elevated vessel, all this makes the still bulky and presure will depend on the liquid level in the medium or fermenting vessel, the pump is small an pressure is stays the same regardless the amount of the mash and its level in the either size vessel.
Hi, my mash is heated by 1.5kw heating element just as stated in this video. The plastic bucket is blocking the view of element, but some times you can see it.
why use it for fuel? drink it

@lockheed22 This type of alcohol can make you go blind without taking out the right chemicals

You never ever hear of this guy again, judging by the syren you can hear towards the end of the video...
Only joking, if anyone knows where to buy some device capable to produce 90°-95° alcohol, please post some link. Thanks

CreQ has made a comment on Continuous fuel ethanol still:
1:15 "and its gonna produce quite sizeable ammount of, uh, fuel ethanol, for great nation of Kazakhstan!"
TWO YEARS WORKING ON A STILL?!?! You shoulda just spent two months working at walmart and bought one!
Btw love how you sound like you are from great nation of kazakhstan and make great product for great people of kazakhstan! you are my hero!
Why did you removed this comment? You are repeating yourself.

it's a still , but how is it continuous when you would have to prepare mash ahead of time and feed it into the system?
If a person could just add sugar water and yeast in one end and continually get ethanol out of the other end, it would be continuous.
After that just make it easy for the average person to use and you have something.
Otherwise it seems like a nifty still and a sort of big one at that.

It would be interesting to use 3kw element driven by a 5 kw wind turbine. That would give you some margin of error in case the wind was low.

why not use gravity to move the mash down into the still, saves you energy, and depending on the height you can change the speed of the mash
