Dude!! That was amazing. How long have you been doing Fire Eating? I've been doing it for a lil over 6 months now. I'm still working on the tongue transfer and breathing the flame yet!!
what kind of fuel are you using taht you are redipping warn wicks into a plastic bottle repeatedly?? i am useid to lamp oil and white gas.. maybe rubbing alchohol for sm stuff...
my friend taught me how to do it he knew how to hes 10 he has a shotgun and knows how to make a flame thrower his dad a police he can do it. He can hold fire in his mouth and he can sqeez the fire with his hand no specail liquid at all weird
This is great theatre! My ex used to put a lit fire torch down his trousers (just regular fit blue jeans), as part of our act, & bring it out the other end still lit. Classic.
I can do this! (See one of my youtube videos) If there's no wind I can hold the flame in my mouth for at least ten seconds. There's no cheat to it. I love the spitting the flame back out to ignite the second torch at 2.24 - I must master that!
this trick is very dangerous. it not a one day thing i know a guy who got 3 degree burns trying to learn this. but he very good at it now but still has burn marks on his face.
When he's transferring the flame from his tongue to the other torch...how is he not swallowing/consuming the fuel? Does the fire just burn it away on the surface of his tongue? I know its completely DANGEROUS to consume any fuel when fire performing so I was really wondering about this & hoped there are other fire performers on here who could answer this for me. Thanks!!
@pstarf actually i am a fire eater i haven t read it in any books :)but i ve heard many tails like we use a special substance that we put on the tourch and makes the fire cold...that amused if there is a substance like this please let me know our work will be much easy:)) another thing that is partial true that we use some cream that protects our skin from burning.i san that is partial true because there is such a creme but it use by fireman i haven t heard any fire eaters to use this kind
no joguba, a friend of mine who actually does fire eating says its very similar to tiki torch fluid, which actually wont burn your skin due to its thickness and long burning rate, HOWEVER if skin is placed above the flame it can burn you. hope this helps!
@grosslyclever i eat fire, but i was trained by perfesionals. you should find someone to teach you so you dont hurt yourself, it can go seriosly wrong.
Yes there is such thing as cold fire. See how he dips it in the jar. Thats lighter fluid. Go watch a video on fire balls that you can hold. They put them in lighter fluid. Cold fire.
I am a fire eater and I hear that phrase a lot in the fire performing community from spectators, telling me that I am using "cold fire" or its a trick. Its not a trick, and if there was "cold fire" I would be using it, there is not trick, just practice. But ANY one can learn to eat fire.
ive learned how to hold fire on my hand, im 15 and i dont realy know anything about, just found it on the net and the guy said that should learn how to trance so i dont feel the pain, so ive read some articles about it.... but i dont usualy do it cause it realy hurts when i lost my concentration... eerrrr nice vid btw!
I think the ability to withstand the heat has something to do with the fuel that's used for the fire. Some fluids don't burn as hot, which makes them tolerable to hold in the mouth or hand. If you've ever seen the videos on how to make a fireball you can hold, same principles.
@Autononymous The fire acually very hot. Like a regular fire. But it dosnt hurt so bad to have a torch on your teeth. I dont remember why. But the front of the teeth dont hurt.
This guy has a GREAT way of keeping the attention of the audience. He also is GREAT with covering up mistakes. He has a real nice flow to his routine.
P.S. to Bratcipheo, My comment was actually a reply to a comment to another comment from dauphin Pourpre who stated that Brian's book did not stress fire safety. Not sure how it became a post or reply to anything that you said.
his way of talking, through history, about something noone cares about, it sounded SO much like the guy in American psycho who talked about music songs right before he started killing people.
well im sorry i don't see every massacre movie on shelves, and normal people are not dumb, nor are they smart
thats kind of common sense
why do you think they call normal people, NORMAL PEOPLE
Normal - conforming with or constituting a norm or standard or level or type or social norm; not abnormal; "serve wine at normal room temperature"; "normal ...
Exactly, im sure you find a retarded person "dumb" and below your lvl, well if someone is way smarter than norm, the "normal" people become dumb from his view.
They really are, but you have to be smart to see it.
Normal is just the average of a group of people, in a retarded school its lower than in a school for geniuses, you see intelligence is just in the prospective of the viewer.
well if a smart person sees a normal person being dumb then what would they see a dumb person being,
their cannot be a double negative then space out to your level, only smart people see that their is no normal people because its their point of view, but in reality their point of view does not matter
Many people do not know about how this originated. If you ever want to learn this (or anything for that matter) it is good to understand how all of it began. Can you do any of these tricks? If not, well then don't bad mouth him for his efforts. This is a VERY DANGEROUS act and it deserves A LOT of respect. DON'T EVER try this if you have no idea of what it involves or how it began. There is A LOT of history about this and it is not easy. Many people have been SERIOUSLY hurt by this.
First of all there was NO reason to tell me to shut up and call me a fool. Your comment sounded, to me, like you were being sarcastic about the dangers of fire and that no one really cares. JEEESSSHHH!!! LIGHTEN UP.
I was always taught that one SHOULD NEVER CONSUME any of the parafin wax or lamp oil while fire performing...but I see in the video that after he transfers the flame from one flame stick to the other, he has to rub on some of the oil on top of his tongue. Does that mean afterwards he consumed the liquid a little? Or did the flame burn it all up before he was done with the trick? Sorry if that question was confusing :/
Asking questions doesn't hurt as much as ignorant does. That's how we learn.
I was told that if you drink milk or eat some sort of dairy product before and after, the fats in those foods can help to "neutralize" the toxic properties of lamp oil and Coleman's fuel that are used in these stunts. The amounts that actually get into your system are very small and your body should be able to handle that. Also, I usually also rinse my mouth with Listerine to help remove the excess fuel.
its parrafin wax! also known as lamp oil! it it a dangerouse thing but if u really wanna start start small an always respect the fire! i know it sounds cheesy but start small an u will end bit! i am new to this game but my progress is good! im self taught i do more fire breathing than eating but i prefer the eating side as it gets more cheers as it looks more dangerous!
I have done several of these tricks and I can honestly say -THIS IS DANGEROUS!!! I am still learning some of them and you do get burnt a bit learning. DO NOT TRY THIS WITHOUT A TEACHER. Check it out on youtube - firestarter Brian
How do these people tolerate the insane heat of the fire on their skin? Like when he was performing the "Human Candle" & the flame was sitting on his lips....omg thats incredible!
Regardless if the heat goes up, you STILL get burnt. When you start out learning this you get A LOT of burns. ALWAYS have a C02 Fire extinguisher, a bucket of ICE water with a couple of bath size towels and SOMEONE READY with first aid burn knowledge to help you in case of an accident. DO NOT EVER take ANY stunt for granted. MAKE SURE you have a THOROUGH understanding of what you want to do and a PROFESSIONAL with you when you learn.
As far as I've understood, (this is what I've heard from a friend of mine who is a fire-eater) is that the flames is necessarily not as dangerous as the gasses from the liquids you use to produce the flames, which can (if inhaled) lead to chemical leukemia. (not sure if that is the correct term for it) Which is in most cases is quite the more dangerous than the actual flames.
That is true and Brian as well as several other books and things I have read in the internet explains the same thing. I have also hear that drinking milk before and after fire eating helps to "neutralize" the hydro carbons in the lamp oil and pass it through your system without as much damage to your liver.
If you have ever played Street Fighter, there is a character named Guile that looks like Brian, mainly because of the hair. His special attack is called Sonic Boom, where he shoots a... well... he shoots some kind of energy out of his hands.
Hey man...I'm a fellow pro fire-eater (based in Australia), so I'm pretty discerning when it comes to watching others. But you're damn good man. Good to see there are other pros who can do more than 2 tricks. good onya mate
I am also a fellow fire performer. I agree, he is quite skilled but I've also seen his book and I am not impressed. At the very least, it needs to be edited to stress safety, not just mention it as a 'TIP'. I've met someone, that is now a friend, that tried to learn fire eating from said book and nearly died b/c basic safety was only mentioned, not interwoven into the instructions.
WHOAH, If you READ the book, safety was STRESSED!!!. This guy gave the most a updated instruction AND SAFETY knowledge that is available. HE DID STRESS SAFETY. As for your friend- I am glad that he did NOT get killed doing this, but you CANNOT learn this from a book ONLY. Brian ALSO posted a disclaimer that he is NOT responsible for someone's STUPIDITY of trying to learn from a book ONLY. You NEED a PROFESSIONAL who will help you in case of an emergency. GET IT???
I never said that Brian was RESPONSIBLE for this person's actions or any others for that matter. But as we all have seen, here on youtube, people will try techniques from his book, without skilled professional supervision and accidents will happen. The best thing that can be done in that situation is to add MORE safety information to said book to protect the stupid people.
That is why I have posted comments on clips where people have had accidents and warn all people who ask me about this to always do the research and speak to a professional BEFORE EVER attempting this.
When a professional is not available, some people, NOT ALL, throw caution and good sense to the wind and attempt this anyway, because it looks easy. Truthfully, it's not difficult, but it can be deadly (or pretty damn close) if done incorrectly, but you know that.
I have given plenty of heart attacks to my guardian angel when I first started doing this stunt MANY years ago. I USED high proof alcohol -(which is the WRONG stuff to use) - and was SOOOO LUCKY that I didn't kill myself . Since I have spoken to Brian and bought his book & video, I now better understand what COULD have happened to me and the safety issues. I found his book to be the most up to date and informative. Look up fire breathing on youtube under Expert Village videos. GOOD video.
Dude!! That was amazing. How long have you been doing Fire Eating? I've been doing it for a lil over 6 months now. I'm still working on the tongue transfer and breathing the flame yet!!

I just realized that it's not leukemia, the blood cancer, (how did i mix that up?). but Pneumonia, sorry for the confusion

Awesome performer and this is such a smooth and cool routine.
and fire-eating shouldn't be learned from a book, but someone with experience.

What was with the SonicBoom joke in the beginning? I don't understand.

GET IT???
zunidoll2 2 years ago
I never said that Brian was RESPONSIBLE for this person's actions or any others for that matter. But as we all have seen, here on youtube, people will try techniques from his book, without skilled professional supervision and accidents will happen. The best thing that can be done in that situation is to add MORE safety information to said book to protect the stupid people.
DauphinPourpre 2 years ago
That is why I have posted comments on clips where people have had accidents and warn all people who ask me about this to always do the research and speak to a professional BEFORE EVER attempting this.
zunidoll2 2 years ago

GOOD video.
