my friend had to nearly bankrupt herself in order to keep her granddaughter from 'disappearing'. Our children were basically stolen from us on innuendo and conjecture which was rubber-stamped by a family court judge. There was no proof of anything, neither my wife nor myself was convicted of any wrong-doing. But on the balance of probabilities the judge determined that the children were possibly at risk of harm in the future. We have not seen or heard from either of our kids for 2 years.

Taking a baby away just because the babys parents are unable to fill out benefit forms and cope with the bureaucracy?!!! I am a university graduate and I have difficulty filling in benefit forms. Government has gotten out of hand. as an orphan i can say from experience that lack of security and lack of love has traumatic effects later in life. As a child we FEEL the emotions and trauma around us. We are too young to form proper conclusions and often blame ourselves.

My parents made it clear to me i was not wanted. So at age 6 i assumed i am no good. Low selfesteem has haunted me all my life. It made a profound difference.
