These cams recommend them. I put comp bee hive springs in, but some cams don't require them.

@00ZincGT and all you have is the o/r pype and the flows? because i'm hoping on getting better gains for mine. i got the bbk shorty headers, o/r x pype, slp lm 1, and a jlt CAI. im getting the typhoon intake manifold this week and was thinking on getting the 270 cam to compliment the intake manifold. but im hoping for better gains with a tune. what do u think?

@TheKtm217 they recommend doing gears as well. you lose a decent of low end grunt . other then that you should be fine.

Sounds great. I ordered the same cams from american muscle and I love them. Did your car actually get quieter after the install, mine did and was told because of the bigger cams it lost cylinder pressure..

If you dont degree on stock pistons yes, you will need valve springs. I have 23cc dished pistons with valve relieves and bee hive valve springs

Comp cams don't list their cams in stages because its fucking stupid.

Comp has the 262-270-278 cams for our cars. With them going from mild-wild in that list.

i want mine to sound like yours but i plan on supercharging it and putting a 50 or 100 shot on it but the nitrous is prob gonna be before the supercharger

also, their are different cams for nitrous and blower applications. If your gonna run nitrous like me your gonna need new pistons as well. After a while the N20 will eat your motor up, mine is being rebuilt this week :(. Hope all that helps.

how much was it to cam your car and what all do you have to get done? i have an 04 mustang gt with a programmer, magnaflow catback, and a upr o/r x, and cai, and a throttle body spacer, and im going to get bbk shorty tuned ceramic headers and underdrive pully's and a throttle body and plenum soon could you tell me what i would need to do to cam my car? or tell me what kinda cams/heads would sound the best with my setup

ah ok so you didnt need to pull it out. reason why i asked was because i just bought a 96 and im already rebuilding it i got pi heads for it and these same cams in them but the shop thats going to put it all together said labor might cost a arm and a leg because the timing they might have to pull the whole motor out they were telling me. Your car sounds amazing man gj!

all work was done with the engine in the car. You will have to get your cams degreed on your car because of PTV, you have flat top pistons, I have dished and notched pistons.

i set up the stock timing marks then degreed the cams. The cams happened to be 6 degrees retarded both sides. I used adjustable cam gears to adjust them

i dont regret them, they were 230 shipped and easy as hell to do because i had the heads off i just bolted em on the heads and slid them in.
