Zune 80GB looks more elegant, and is, from the looks of it, more scratch resistant since the back is made of aluminum and the front is made with a matte finish instead of glossy. I don't like the look of the 120GB. I'd rather have even a 30GB Zune.

All of the new Zunes have glass screens. This includes all of the flash models (4, 8, 16gb), and the 80 and 120gb models.

The original 30gb Zune has a plastic screen.

ipod 32 g is 400 and the 120 zune is 226 that's walmart pricing for u may find the ipod cheeper but ived use both i prefer the Zune holds more and the screen is a better quality then the Apple Ipod

the zune screen is definitely not better than the ipod touch screen . the ipod touch has twice as many pixels. but zunes still kicks hardcore ASS. but the zune hd comes out this year and it will of course have an hd screen.

it looks so far their getting some peoples attention, but it will never beat the apple iPod, iPods are to Popular and are demanded and sold worldwide and are really good players to listen to music n watch movies and view pistures and save podcasts, zunes are good also and try to compete but alot of people perfer iPods.

Are Zunes gaining popularity? I don't want to buy one and then have it not be sold after a year of having it. I know that GameStop recently pulled it off its shelves due to low demand for the product. I guess I don't understand why it isn't beating the iPod as all of the comparisons between the two that I have seen result in victory for the Zune.

agreed, i have gone with zune since the beginning and i have recently cracked my screen :( so i have to save up and buy a new 120gb.

but all of my good friends have gone from ipod to zune and they are never going back to ipod. the zune 3.0 software is so much better and easier than iTunes and the zune has gotten Cnet's vote over the iPod.

i recommend you go with zune!

That same thing happened to me with my Zune 30, but luckily I got it from Costco and my dad used his American express credit card (I have to pay him back, of course) so they reimbursed me and i had enough to upgrade to zune 80!

i have the 120gb and the 30gb zune the software gets the album art for you weather you get your songs from limewire or whatever..... or... obviously the zune market place about 2000 on my songs are from zune... they all have the album art :)

Don't know why you would bother changing the 120's front, I personally think the aesthetic design of the 120 is much nicer than the 80.

It does show up smudges more than the matte finish of the 80GB. Doesn't bother me, I give it a quick wipe on my jeans or shirt every now and then. But as you can see from the comments here, some people don't like the glossy finish.

Yes, it's an option when you upgrade your 30 to 3.0.

Or if you've already upgraded, you can still go back to Settings and select the games option to get those two preloaded games.

Just recieved my Zune 120gb. I'm quite pleased with it. However I have one major concern in that the hold switch is very wobbly, plasticky and cheap looking, and feels like it will break at any minute. Does anyone else have a similar issue or is it just mine? It would be a real pain in the arse if it broke because I live in the UK and I reckon they're basically impossible to get repaired here. Does anyone know how I could get it fixed if that does happen? (REALLY hope it doesn't!)

im pretty sure it doesnt scratch as easily, but it attracts more fingerprints, but you could easily clean the finish to get rid of them.

i think zune is good but for some reason it doesnt match with ipod i mean the back is kinda weird i owned a 80gb zune and found the feel of ipod better.the chrome back is cooler the ipod is made to fit in your hands.the ipod music quality is better. another thing is the hold is plastic and if u push it to hard it can fall of basically(mine almost did) ipod has metal hold and u can use fingernails without breaking it. also on ipod the video quality is better b/c the pizel distribution is lesser.

the back is alluminum not metal less shiny.also when u use the touch pad it doesnt feel correct.the screen and all maybe better but its compromise with quality and easiness to use with cooler apps.i mean most ppl get illegal music everyone knows that.with ipod u can go through your entire collection in one shot by rotating. consider ipod 120 right now im deciding between ipod 120 or zune well have to wait for reviews and the zune doesnt give 6hrs of battery life.the 80 claimed 4 but it gave 330

it is b/c it has to power a bigger screen also ipod gives u options like lock so no random ppl can steal it.also the volume is totally adjustable compared to zune which goes by 20 20/20 being max.somesongs made me feel too high or to low.same goes for brightness low med high.ipod is totally adjustable.but then this has a bigger screen that doesnt get scratched fm radio potrait and landscape mode.another thing if you accidently go sideways when scrolling you reach the top again and u have 2 click
