The slaves had a good life because it was in the best interest of their masters to keep them healthy. Yes, I do believe in eternal security, but unfortunately Calvinists don't. They say that if a person doesn't endure to the end ("perseverance of the saints"), quits church, or goes back to the world, then they "must have never really been saved."

The Arminians believe they lost it. The Calvinists say they never had it. The Bible teaches that they are still saved. That's eternal security.John 10:28,John 5:24.

According to Calvinism you can't truly know you're saved til you "endure to the end"
