The NATO and Coalition forces are hopeless. They have the benefit of 30 years extra technological advancement and the ability to analysis the Soviet experience yet they still cant beat the Taliban and others who are still armed with the same AKs, RPGs and IEDs. Even worse, the Afghans arent being supplied the weaponry like they were when fighting the Soviets nor do they have as many fighters as back then. Why not just use special forces against the Taliban, Al-Qaeda, and their terrorist allies organization instead of ground troops. Ground troops are only good for against other nations ground troops. Special Forces job suppose to be Recon, Anti Terrorist Units, Counter against Terrorist, and fighting against Terrorist or Guerrillas or Rebels. The NATO and Coalition forces are hopeless. They have the benefit of 30 years extra technological advancement and the ability to analysis the Soviet experience yet they still cant beat the Taliban and others who are still armed with the same AKs, RPGs and IEDs. Even worse, the Afghans arent being supplied the weaponry like they were when fighting the Soviets nor do they have as many fighters as back then. In a documentary even a Talib said the Soviets were better and tougher.
