Im using a Randall V2 and Im playing old style death metal. I dont have my chorus boost that I had on my wee old model MG100dfx so I need a solo boost. Looks like this will do the job with the anger on 1st or 2nd fist. Dont want to have too much gain! haha.

Gearmanndude didnt comment like he usually does.. that says a lot, also the volume balance was off.. so hard to tell what the pedal actually sounds like at same volume as amp.. after saying that.. it sounded like a 'good' pedal.. but we are living in a age of great pedals.. so how special is it?

It really created a very nice boosted lead tone. In each dirt box demo you should have a few bars of rhythm playing as well.

it would be awesome if gearmand dude would a/b some amps. Like, he always uses a DR.Z.. So, ok, use that, but a/b it with a solid state amp, or perhaps a more generic amp like the blues jr. he uses. He needs another pedal to his pedal line anyway, so he can make and sell an a/b/y pedal. Great Idea GEARMAN if I must say I think that gets me a free pedal.

Just a thought, a silly thought at that.

All these demos are done through some killer amps (I love the good Dr. Z.) So even the worst pedal is going to have that tone advantage from the start.....but.....how would these pedals sound through a solid state, pawn shop, reject? If any pedal could make one of those sound good, then that would indeed make that pedal truly special.

As I said, just a goofy, oddly sober, thought.

But for the love of god, don't try it.
