  • In the 80's he played something almost identical looking called a synthaxe that he didn't invent.

  • @MrTappermike ,,,,,Cool

  • @MrTappermike Same concept, different execution

  • araab muzik who?

  • OK that's freakin amazing!!

  • i expected his voice to be deeper

  • He is a very relaxed genius which is reflective of true power and spirituality. What a master.

  • @FreedomUSA1 ....Yep...

  • amazing, and he's really good at it too, an extremely advanced sense of rhythm

  • @moleculecarriermusic ....Yessir

  • i want one! bad ass and bitchin!!!

  • @formattester6 ...OK, cool

  • It gets pretty insane around 1:40 when he starts talking about rudiments, the melody, and "right, left, right, right..."

  • @bakersman12 .....I'm telling you.....lol

  • would this instrument looks better than this, I would buy it. Its a real interestant instrument, but I think I favourize more the classical version of a drumset.

The drumitar looks like a mix between a guitar and an accordion.

  • @HollyDeluxe ....Hahahahaha....It's a crazy thing

  • @HollyDeluxe It's actually a mix between a synthaxe (you should google it) and a keytar. I guess he still plays something that looks like what's in the video, but the sounds have gotten more authentic. I'm a big fan myself. Anyway, the Zendrum (you should google this too) is based on Wooten's invention and there are several different models. If u have time, check out the synthaxe link or google drumitar. It's some cool music tech. Sorry for the ramble.

  • @drewper73 ...COOL!!!

  • Key mapping that thing must be a nightmare.

  • @jon1carlo ....Hahaha

  • damn mang

  • YESSAH!!!

  • A SynthAxe is a fretted, guitar-like MIDI controller, created in 1986 by Bill Aitken and manufactured in England in the middle to late 1980s. It is a musical instrument that uses an electronic synthesizer to produce sound and is controlled through the use of an arm which resembles the neck of a guitar in form and in use.

  • Thanks...........

  • @steaver1959 right and the one he plays used to belong to lee ritenour, only heavily modified the SYNTHAXE DRUMITAR

  • @classicrockNo1 .....COOL!!!

  • @lethbptl yeah, there's like only one guy in the world that can fix it, so that's why they stopped production.

  • @classicrockNo1 ....Good Info

  • I went to find out a what and who plays the drumitar. Turns out there is just one. Lol. copied by Zendrum?

  • COOL!!!

  • @suckfuldodger Yeah, Zendrum's use the same technology. Piezo sensors instead of what most other drum midi controllers use.

  • @Kelsin5 ...Nice

  • awesome. saw the flecktones last week. one of the best band out there

  • I agree

  • i dunno how the fuck that thing works, but it's DAMN HOT!!

  • COOL!!!

  • NICE!!!

  • Clever, it allows you to drum more while using less movement.

  • Space age or something!!!

  • but close to same cost if not double.

  • seems like hes baked lol

  • Hahahahaa!!! He's Good!!

  • hes incredible!

  • Yes He Is!!!

  • Damn son, this guy talks with that thing! He HAS to be from the future 'cause he's without prejudice living in a box of music!

  • YEP!!

  • Could you give us some insight on how he actuallly built this "Drumitar" (assuming it is his own construction)?

  • I am assuming it was originally purchased as a SynthAxe (midi guitar trigger) and he has assigned the midi notes to drum sounds.

  • You may be right, i don't know..........lol

  • futureman is great. i know vic and i have hung out with futureman, and he knows his stuff.

  • True!!
