  • I absolutely loved the book and I am rereading again! Geoff's book is a must for any Beatle fan

  • I find it hard to believe that EMI was so archaic in their stanch view of the changing recording world and would not put funds into an 8 track machine at the time, when all EMI’s competitors had this equipment. After all, these were the Beatles they were dealing with. Just imagine what Emerick may have been able to yield from a recording secession. In my view, the EMI of the 60’s should have be held accountable for stifling any artist’s creativity with regard to recording!

  • When Paul asked George Martin to produce Abby Road, Martin said "Only if you let me produce it as before". And one of those requirements was that Geoff Emerck be brought back to engineer. Martin made Paul personally call Emerick and ask him to return. Which Paul did. Emerick later engineered several McCartney solo albums including "Band On The Run" and "Tug Of War"

  • Thank you Geoff. It was a brilliant book and I so hope you write another one.

  • NOT happy about the inaccurate memories of George's guitar playing.

  • Beatle fans don't know much if they haven't read this book.
