a skateboarder who is technically sponsored by a company, but not technically "on the team" they get endless amounts of free product just like the ams and pros on the team, but they don't get checks or get their names on boards. it's basically like a step above shop sponsorship. when you're flow it means that the company is keeping an eye on you. if you get good enough and keep sending footy, you might get to go on a trip, and become a full member of the team.
