@miziamdium Being gay is not just about sex. Most gay people if given the knowledge of sexuality to do so will identify their sexuality from the age of 5 or so. Being gay is not just about sex, it is about attractions, social, emotional romantic intellectual and sexual. Now go see Phillip Carman and tell him he was wrong to come out at 9. @philipem01 Well actually the word gay is a slang word for being homosexual, so it actually does have to do with sexuality. People can be curious, guys can be feminine, girls can be rugged, and not be gay persay. That kind of stuff has nothing to do with being gay....it has to do with how your personality is. Being gay is choosing to be sexually attracted to the same gender as you..which when your that young your body isn't even phys ready to be sexually attracted to anyone yet (not at 8 anyway)

@miziamdium Ithink you should go read the research that shows aspects of gay mens' bodies are Biologically different. I think you should look for facts not opinions. I made no choices myself and 12 year old children do not decide to be gay. Sexuality is complex but it is established well before the age of 5 and all scientific evidence suggests it is largely set by the tie of birth as result of genetics, paragentics and prenatal hormones. You can't MAKE a choice to get erections for men.

Isn't it possible for you to conceive of a pedophile making a constructive comment on this video - in the same way that homosexuals, somehow, manage to serve in the military without causing a panic? A person's sexual orientation does not make them any more likely to harass or stalk anyone.

If people give you a hard time, always know you can talk to your parents, counselors teachers..ect...I have the uptmost respect for you!

Miles, right on! Be bold, be brave, maintain your self-integrity. You are a hero, and will be an inspiration to other young LGBTQ youths.
Many decades ago, it was literally a crime to be gay, and it was believed to be a mental illness. I had to come of age with all that baggage...it took me until I was 20 to be brave enough to act on my feelings.
A suggestion: read, and watch videos, about the Stonewall Riots and its heroes, who made it possible for you to be you today, as you are.

Hey Miles It's nice that you want to come out. Be really careful as you do this, please. It's good that you are comfortable with your sexuality. Other people might not be though and they will be haters at times! Be careful who you tell and how visible you become. If you need help please ask those you trust.
