I had the great pleasure of speaking with bill on just one occasion while I was /p on vacation in Ireland, at the time I made a point of telling him what a huge radio ham roll model he had been for me over the years while listening to him. He thanked me greatly for that and then,and I will never forget it... he played my audio back to me across the atlantic so I could hear myself making the trip into studio 'B'.. thankyou bill - again!! heaven now has the house radio op it deserves. I had a few Qsos with Bill W2 ONV..the man was a legend with some of the fellow "Hams" in the UK.Always a "Rockcrushing signal" into England.He was a pioneer of good audio from "Studio B".I've been a licenced Amateur for nearly a decade now and Bill and a lot of other American QRO stations influenced my way forward in the hobby not to be a "Mudduck station!).I guess us guys in our 30's and 40's are the Next Generation to keep Ham radio alive.but there was only one W2 ONV!.RIP BILL DAVE (M0OGY)UK

Now I know the reason why I´ve never heard him again....I got 2 times a good QSO with him....And now....never again.....So unlucky.
