Ah, back when people cared about space... Even the discussion about computer technology is all based on what it will do for SPACE travel (instead of letting us have facebook, wiki, and youtube).
after great tsunami that will strike north america, military will build a most terrible thing in history of humans a self independent operated computer or artificial androids with learning capabilities. From Enoch Prophecies.
"one day, computers will bring 'grand theft auto', 'guitar hero', spam, viruses, increase office productivity an amazing 3 %, cost thousands of dollars, become obsolete every 6 months, and be able to calculate roaming charges, bandwidth charges, usage fees & texting fees with incredible speed...oh, and we'll be able to make popcorn in seconds in something called a microwave oven!" :P
People in the 1930s predicted that by the 70s, we'd live in mile-high skyscrapers, fly to work in jet-cars, and everything would be run by a one-world government. That didn't happen, so in the 70s it was predicted we'd be living in space bio-domes in 2010. (Either that or blow ourselves up in nuclear war.) The part about computers was accurate though.
@1Nanalo And it isnt? We have the internet,HDTV,PS3s,ipads,and xbox360s.And they were right about the computer becoming a part of our lives. Not so much about living in space and curing cancer though.
@Godzilla1985 Earth is a dangerous and violent place . I hate it. I would spend one hour in deep space before spending 80 years on this sucker planet.
The WIKI page on the series states that this episode predicts what life will be like in 2010 so, we have less than a month to go as of right now! LOL!
LOL I find it extremely funny that almost all of the predictions they made were false. Guess they had overestimated our own ability to make technological advancements.
Haha yea I guess... but it was only one out of several so-called "experts" who were way off. BTW, Godzilla 1985 is my second-favorite, my fave is Godzilla 1954.
In the future there might be a plant that is genetically engineered to water the ground causing abundance of crops (ending hunger) and flowers to bloom.... that is if it is possiable and someone started working on it.
millions of people in space, cure for cancer & other life threating ilnesses, well no. the computer impacting everyday life yeah i guess so, i'm watch a 27 year old rerun on one.
Is that a young John Carmack at 8:53?

They were way off on the prediction for cancer and other disease being wipe out or dimished by the end of the 20th century.
I think its the reverse. Cancer and disease is increasing, and our life spans are being shortened.
