centosa, I kinda disagree and agree with that. Outdoor cats, or homeless ones I can see that statement being true. Indoor cats, on the other hand, can vary depending on the type of cat. One of my cats, for example, couldn't care about anything but survival. My other cat, though, noticeable cares about life, and does things outside the idea of necessity such as show affection (including to strangers - who don't feed her). I think it really depends.
