  • This version is much better than the original and this is the version radio stations played when this song came out. The original is slower and not as much bass and keyboards. U.S. radio stations have a habit of ususally playing remix versions of songs from overseas artists than their original. EBTG and their smash hit "Missing" is a prime example. The remix did alot better over here than the original and it is better.

  • This is radio's version, which is different from the CD "The Book of Secrets".

  • If you don' t mind my asking, where'd you find the mp3 for this? I haven't had much luck, and the only other way I could get it is to get the single CD. But I already have the original version, so why bother with the CD?

  • @stigmaweb this is NOOOOT enya this is LOREENA MCKENITT *totally botched the spelling*

  • nice version. I have only heard the album song. Really love the song and her voice. thank you

  • ...amidst the lantern light...

  • this is awesome

  • How could anyone dislike this!?!

  • This video has the worst lyrics, I had listen to in 17 years, sound like from the 80s.

  • This isn't the remix that I know of.

  • It seems to me that the very theme of this wonderful & mystical song springs, to this significant degree, from this Druidic past, where love of nature & belief in the perpetual circle of life were deeply embraced convictions shared by all! Loreena McKennitt knows how to tap into the right emotions, & employ all the right instruments, all the while singing with this pure voice that is Heaven sent!

  • I love this New Age sound featuring this Eclectic & Brilliant blend of Celtic & Eastern musical elements, sounds & styles! For in this case it works to perfection--as it smoothly flows into one soothing, flawless amalgamation of two very distinct, yet mystically driven, cultures! Also, the individual Celtic & Eastern elements are, when extracted from the whole, themselves made up of various characteristics that spring from the same cultural pool, combining the old with the new!

  • AMAZING!!!!!

  • Is this the remix by DNA? I heard they were the same people who remixed Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner" way back in the early 1990s.

  • Great song, I really like this version.

  • Le remix soft, très bien fait!

  • i just watched the video, and this is not a remix?? is it?

    sounds the exact same

  • its a remix yeah, i uploaded the original, its alot calmer and a bit slower too. for example my favorite band dir en grey has a song called embryo and the original version was released on their cd kisou then they made a single later on of embryo with a single version remix which they used the single version for the video of it. :)

  • @omegatsume dir en grey is amazing.

  • @ssssssspps This version is from the CD single...It is actually titled "Single Version" and is the first track on the CD single. Followed by the "Album version". It was releades in 2 versions

  • @ssssssspps Actually it is a remix if you listen to the original it sounds much different :)

  • Best Cd I own. Love this song and the original.

  • I have always loved this track...I know it probably wouldnt appeal to her target market but it is hard to believe that one of the DJ greats hasnt done this incredible vocal some justice!

  • Like stigmaweb says, Enya didn't sing on Loreena McKennitt's CD. Don't you think that a well-known singer like Enya would be credited/thanked on the CD if she actually sang on "The Mummers Dance??

Loreena owns and operates her own label - Quinlan Road. On her website, you can actually read the liner notes for "The Book of Secrets" and guess what - no Enya! The confusion (possibly): "Pure Moods" (re-release)1997 includes Enya's "Orinoco Flow". "Pure Moods 1998Includes Loreena's "Mummers Dance"

  • Actually that's not necessarily true Ladyeglantine. Many Artists perform on cd's and even request to NOT be given credit because they don't want to take away from the main Artist. They actually enjoy flying "under the radar" so to speak at times. Don't know if Enya is on this cd but I can easily see her input.

  • @Ladyeglantine thats really informative...thnks did not know that that re-release existed.....google here I COME!!!!!

  • This is the single version.

It was released only on the single album. And it was played on a few radio stations. (i remember hearing it) There are apparently two versions of the single cd. one has this version, the full version, and the mystics dream.

another version of the single cd has the two versions of this song, and two live songs.

  • Hermos tema!!!

  • Enya and Loreena did this version together as a remix for the Ever After soundtrack....and it was featured in one of the trailers as well...Enya IS in it people...get ova yaselves :)

  • Come on people...that's the Mummers' dance version for the video that was on MTV. You could tell by the "hollow" sound and the sloweness. I have NEVER heard a single word that she has ever cooperated with Enya. Huggies

  • Enya???? C'mon you people should buy her Cd and check the invited guests! Absolutely doesn't appear Enya! LM doesn't even know her music. Check LM documentaries from mummers dance / 97

  • idk i downloaded the mp3 with this title. i guess i could change the title to (remix) because this is not the original version i know because i put up the original version too. but it doesnt matter does it?? because as long as people know what the song is thats all that matters. it would be confusing if i put the title as the mummers dance . only because thats what title i put on the original version.

  • I think Enya just remixed it. Or maybe she's singing in the chorus. It sounds like overlapped vocals.

  • I've been looking everywhere for this version. I can't find it. UGH!

  • I remember buying the album when it came out and was disappointed because it didn't have this version, lol ... It was only on the single so I bought that too ( back in the caveman days before mp3 :)

  • OH what a song it remaind me of cats in the cradle

  • There are remixes to certain songs and Enya is certainly on this track. And they are good friends in real life.

  • are they really good friends??

  • It does have Enya in it for the harmony.

  • Enya is in Clannad which did the Robinhood music. Not in this song though that I am aware?

  • Thanks for uploading this! :D I've been looking for this song for a while :)

  • Great song, but I DOUBT Enya has anything to do with it. =)

  • Enya? Loreena has a band of her own.

  • um yes she was in this remix. have you ever heard of people working with others? enya is in this remix.

  • this song the called the mummers dance as far as im aware enya does not feature on this track. good song though )O(

  • hmm... ill have to fix the title :)

  • enya is in there most likely u never heard her do harmony before
