i had one of those...one of the best cars ive ever owned!!!! although mine wasnt quiet...i had a am/fm 8 -track in my LTD. ohh yeah...SMOKE ON THE WATER..FIRE IN THE SKY!! damnn im on empty i gotta get gas. all right, all 4 of you..ante up 2 bucks so i can fill my tank lol!
I have had several 71's and they are really quiet in stock form. Those were great cars. I lived through my teens, due to their rugged construction. (I'm sorry I wrecked the ones I did, great cars, stupid kid) BTW its a Boss 302, or 429 (69-70)or Boss 351 in 1971
@ebf1957 I also notice that he's practicing seat-belt safety. I don't know if he had a Boss 320 (unless Ford gave him one as partial compensation) because he was known to be a bean-counter with his money as he was sending his daughters to college and because he had house Upstate New York and Pacific Palisades, California that he needed to maintain.
They were so quiet caust that raggedy hunk a junk wouldnt start!!!

I always pictured Rod in 1967 Ford station wagon, not in a 1971 Ford Coupe.

@SheriffTankStoner
Rod probably had the station wagon, but he also may have had a Boss 320 Mustang in the garage for weekends.
