The main problem the honeybees had was that their stingers couldn't penetrate the armor of the Hornets, due to them not evolving side by side. Rather than go for the instant kill shot (back of the neck) they should have instead gone for the after the limbs and wings - if their pincers are even affective. That way the hornets would have been immobilized and the "ground troops" would have made short work of them. Damn..why couldn't I have been the bee general?
