This can be done with a long photo exposure and LED's. The shutter stays open long enough for you to twirl around some LED's, which appear as motion streaks on the camera. Just about EVERY digital camera can do this in manual mode. It's fun to play with! This video is just a series of these types of photos, shot in a "stop-motion" sorta way.
