When I was little we had a few outdoor cats, all of which chattered at the birds. None were bengals. Its a predatory instinct of all cats. I also have a marble bengal, and he doesnt chatter at all.. In fact.. he is quite the scaredy cat, pardon the pun.
Beautiful cat! My cat is named Chico also and he makes the same noises! I never heard a cat do this until Chico - I thought he was the only one!! Maybe he's part Bengal? His face is similar to your Chico...The rest of him is brown tiger. Love your vid!
Our Bengal boys (inside only cats) used to chatter like this to the birds outside to try to get them to come closer. Its fairly common for Bengals to chatter like this.
I hope my bengal kitten starts chattering like this! She's such a quiet baby.. My savannah boy on the other hand, he's VERY vocal! He loves to meow, chatter and talk to those he knows. Your boy is very handsome!
Reminds me of Switters (just a little rescue kitty) but the first time he 'called wildlife' it was when a pack of Huey choppers did a low fly over our apartment. I guess if your gonna hunt, you might as well hunt big game,
Might've actually aided the film if there was an erm...Squirrel in the footage ? Your cat might just as well have been making noises at the postman as far as I know. Sorry to be picky, but that was a bit like watching Jaws without the shark.
OK Umm, lets see.. This is a CAT page...Title says CAT talking, not squirrel talking.... umm,This is part 2 of a vid that shows the same squirrel that visits daily. Umm what else..I don't know.. Just trying to be a hard ass like you I guess. Feels bad though, I don't see how u do it. Thanks for watching!
Ive heard bengal cats are the only breed that can mimic people and tends to make weird noises to interact with other animals. I assume because of the cross breed between a wild cat and a domestic cat.
Thanks for watching and your comment..But I have to disagree on all cats doing this. I have 2 other cats, both Chausies who never do it.. I'd have them on vid also if it were the case. Chico is just overall a more vocal cat.
@tinasattler1 I don't know what breeds of cats you have, but not all cats chatter. Sounds like you need to do some more research before you post something. :)
Chico is so cute!!! My cat Bodhi does the same thing...I wonder why they make that noise. Bodhi does that watching birds too, I don't think they could sneek up on a bird or a squirrel. Never know what's in their heads, but it is still fun to watch...thanks for sharing!

My cats never do it. They just sit and watch or act like they want to pounce.
