A beautiful song, Chris, though I must say it doesn't sound like unrequited love to me, but rather forbidden love that has not yet been consummated. If it is unrequited, it should be. Forbidden love really should be put out of one's mind, because even in the best scenario, it engenders such sorrow that if it could have been seen in advance, it would have been enough to dismiss the thought entirely to begin with.

I suppose, depends where you stand on the issue of divorce though. Anyway, it was a long time ago and consummation was never really the goal, I just enjoyed hanging out with her! Though if we had got together I wouldn't have met my fiancee, which is a good reason for being grateful that nothing ever happened! Cheers for watching Jack.
