Hey guys, I want to share the video I made using a hard disk gyroscope. I'm using the gyroscope to stabilize my gopro hd camera mounted on the mikrokopter...
that is awsome, seeing a suitcase spin like that would amaze anyone. So much better then the spinning bicycle wheel turntable thing they havnt changed for a million years.
@ the drive slowing down. its probably because the power supply your using is for computers and has a power drainage system that activates to discharge caps when shut off for safety. if you unplug all the power connections and let it spin out and if it don't do the huge slow down. that was the case ^^
@FloProproductions Time slows down as you approach the speed of light. By talking *very* fast we're able to compress time just long enough to get our videos uploaded. When they upload they're actually only about 3 minutes long, but as time dilates back to normal they stretch back out. YouTube only limits the UPLOAD time of the videos and cannot account for relativistic effects of time dilation.
@FloProproductions its because they are youtube partners if you have a good youtube channel you can apply to become one, they pay you advertising commissions and allow you to make videos hours long and I think upto 30GB in size you can apply to become one
@farislucas In that day of shooting the batteries were nearly dead on Paul's mic. We kept getting distortion from time to time. It only happened in these past 2 videos. After the break we went and got new batteries. ;)
@thegeekgroup I was hoping that maybe there was some electrical distortion caused by gyroscopes, but to my knowledge there isn't? Oh well. Awesome video, love watching you guys take stuff apart. The reference links are really helpful to, but if you guys could manage to place them in the description that would be awesome (:
I'd love to see this project go further when you get the electronics lab up and running!

Every time I see on of these and they get older I almost expect it to look like something out of a Steam-punk universe!
Com-on Big Air Liner!
I like it when the skrawny student proves that he still can learn something from the old craggy teacher!

@thegeekgroup Oh..... So you upload a speedy 3 minutes, and youtube put it to normal speed?
